CREEPY (Dark Horse) #009 2
While putting CREEPY's Loathsome Lore on the back cover was a great idea, this run of hastily-drawn, Nickolodeon-looking cartoon-strip back covers which began with this issue (I would assume about the time that the Dark Horse EERIE run was debuting) most surely had a hand in killing the Son of CREEPY's chances of survival. They are simply NOT the right tone for the CREEPY tradition of beautifully-drawn and dark, ironic humor. These strips are more like The Munsters meet The Fairly Oddparents, with Brother Creepy, Sister Creepy, Grandma Creepy, etc.
