    Hello TennisCardCity,

I have used the following polishing kit with varying degrees of success.  All depends how deep the scratches are but light surface scratches usually buff out without issue. I have tested it on PSA with success and SGC, I have yet to use it on CSG slabs so I do not know if using the polish will badly affect the clarity of the CSG slab. But, for $20 it may be worth a shot in your situation

Thank you! Ordered. I have my weekend project. ;)

  2. Long story short, After a few months I finally got to a box of cards I'd had re-labeled with the new label and 45 of the 50 cards in the order were all scratched/scuffed in the same spot to varying degrees. I obviously do not want to sell them like this so I was wondering if anyone had some tips for removing the scratches? A photo of one of the worst is attached, but there might be some with smaller issues that could be remedied. Thx in advance.

  3. Sorry you aren't happy and I hope you get it cleared up. Here's what I learned from your post. Based on your past experience with PSA, this indicates to me that CSG 9.5s = PSA 10s. Understandably you're probably concerned about value of a CSG 9.5 vs. a PSA 10, so it's good that you're sharing your experience so that ppl start to understand this.

If you've got CSG 9.5s you think are PSA 10s, then it's important to price them as such and inform your customers/buyers of your experience. It's data like that which will help communicate to everyone how good a 9.5 from CSG is.

As a side note, this makes me less concerned that CSG will have to engage in "population control" like PSA, i.e. "oh shoot we gave out too many 10s." So there's that.

I don't think anyone should get so upset over the price increase or take it personally in any way. Price is a way to control demand. Right now they are getting slammed with submissions and they don't have the time, personnel or facilities to control the surge. The only way they can do anything about this issue is raising prices. CSG doesn't want you to submit right now because you are going to get wait times that you aren't going to be happy with. If demand cools down and they can get a better handle on what is required to enter the space, the prices will stabilize. Whether that means price up or price down depends on how much they have to get through. My advice is this, if you can stomach a very long wait time and higher prices, then by all means submit now. However, if you can wait and let these grading companies catch up, you'll likely have shorter wait times and a better overall experience.

I agree here. At some point ppl trying to get $1 cards graded/slabbed should just spend $8 on a nice frame. lol

  5. Following-up on this with some anecdotal market research with my cousins haha. Not familiar with PSA or CSG I had them hold each side-by-side and tell me what they thought. (Same card, PSA was a 10, CSG was a 9.5 if that matters) and they preferred the CSG "It just looks newer and it's heavier, and clear, and clean."

Im actually starting to like it especially with the subgrades

Same here. There is a heft to the slab and the clear case is nice. Also the green has grown on me particularly because it's reflective.

When I put it next to a PSA slab, the CSG definitely looks more modern.

I do think without the subgrades they should push the card info down into the whitespace below, but I don't plan on getting any without subgrades so whatever.

  7. I submitted 12 cards and entered them myself. However, when they showed up on the submission status, the information for one of the cards had been changed and is incorrect now.

So my question is, when would an error on a card set name/series get corrected in the process?

It would be cool if there was a link on the submission status detail for each card where we could report an issue.
