i guess i worded my question poorly - part of my question was do other people do a better job than cgc.  also with cgc - one shipping less handling.

I have some old books -  such as an example: x-men giant size #1, fantastic four #48, werewolf by night #32, american spiderman #34, silver surfer #1 - all about 4 to 7 grade.

To insure the highest grade - I would assume it better to send to a third party for clean and press instead of CGC?????

Which third party would recommend?

Problems/Concerns - BACK ABOUT 40 YEARS AGO - HAD COMICS STORED ON END - NO BAGS - HAD A SMALL FLOOD - COMICS GOT WET ON BOTTOM EDGE - MOST BOOKS KINDA HAVE A WAVEY BOTTOM - SOME HAVE STAINING.

THIS ONE HAS THE BOTTOM WAVEYNESS PRETTY BAD - BUT NO STAINING.

SMALL STAIN ON FRONT COVER IN FRONT OF JACKAL ON FRONT COVER.

SMALL NICK 0N BACK COVER BOTTOM LEFT.

I would be interested on thoughts on being able to fix this some what - could it be fixed with some intense pressing - i've got a few i could practice on - biggest concerns would be staining???
