  1. I just want to add in here as a nudge, Japanese games don't have a lot of support for grading outside of VGA who will grade anything. If CGC can prioritize Famicom / Famicom Disk, there are some amazing first appearances on those platforms that I own and would 100% want to send over to CGC tomorrow.

Hope they can be added soon!

Can you send more pics of other books?

Sure thing, I sent in a bunch that came back with this general condition, the books are thickish, but well within the depth measurements for magazines. The all bow out in the center with a significant gap along the side enough to where you could almost stick in a pencil width, pictured.

The magazine cases are not sealed on the sides but there shouldn't be a large gap. You can contact customer service and if they see a problem you can send it back for a no-fee reholder.  As for not being centered, the holder is designed for all the different dimensions of magazines so smaller ones are put off to the right and there are plastic holders keeping the magazine in place.

Gotcha, that makes sense thanks. Is there any way to get them more centered or is that just the way it'll be? It's bothering me when I look at it lol.

  3. Hi Everyone!

This is my first returned submission on Magazines so I'm looking for some guidance on whether this is normal or an issue.

I got my CGC Magazine grading order back and I am noticing that all of my slabs are unsealed along the sides. Many of these have major gaps as well and seems to bow outwards despite being within the dimension requirements. I've attached some pictures for reference, is this something that CGC would normally fix?

I'm also noticing that the majority of the books are offcenter in the holder, is that normal?

    Thank you!

There is no separate receiving date for magazines.  The main difference in the turnaround times between magazines and regular comics is generally due to the longer time frame it takes to encapsulate magazines.

Oh that's very interesting thank you for the information.

  5. Good Morning!

With the opening times on the Comics and Trading Card sections, it's really useful to see the processing open dates listed out for reference. Since Magazines have nearly a year turnaround time at the moment given business days, can we please get a listing for the current Opening status? To be specific I'm referring to the text like "Now opening trading card packages delivered the week of January 10, 2022."

    Thank you!

    Good morning,

Thanks for your message.  We can't say for certain until we examine the book in person.  If it fits within the dimensions of our holders then there is a good chance but we cannot make any guarantees on something until we examine it.  I did check our census and see there are other Warhammer books listed as graded but I don't know if they are the same type as this one.  You can send it in and if it turns out to not be a book we can grade, you would not be charged any grading fees on that.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.  Thanks!

Gotcha, I'll give it a try and hopefully it'll work. Thanks for the response, Jennifer!

  7. Good Evening,

I am wanting to get some of my old Warhammer Fantasy Battle Army Books graded and slabbed by CGC. They all fit the dimension requirements of the magazine cases and are essentially Square-bound Comic sized. Does anyone know if I can send these in and they won't be sent back to me ungraded?

    Thank you!
