  1. Please tell me you aren't going to follow up with every negative post about this movie so as to reinforce you disliked Zack Snyder's Justice League when it comes out? That's going to get old real fast.
  2. It really is okay to once in a while to allow yourself to enjoy such shows without killing the experience with minor nitpicks. It was a fun episode with some great battles. And a solid casting that really made the wait well worth it.
  3. I actually got out my ruler and started checking the dimensions to the animated version and was very concerned there was such a variance. I WANT A RECALL!
  4. The movie excluded that influence. It really is sad as they had all the keys to the kingdom to make this movie a massive hit. And just threw it away. Kind of like Matthew Vaughn sharing he had sketched out a franchise and then Fox executives fell so in love with Days of Future Past they jumped ahead without the planned sequel. And that movie was leaning into casting Tom Hardy as Wolverine.
  5. Intermission breaks to watch a funny movie really can help brighten the day.
  6. I think now is a good time to go enjoy 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' and step back from the keyboards.
  7. What I liked about the first two acts of XO:W is how it was influenced by Origin #1-6, Wolverine Vol. 2 #10 and Wolverine Vol. 2 #48-50. Even MCP #72-83. When they went off the rails and went with that Act 3 mess, all inspirations from any comic book disappeared.
  8. Fair enough as there is no debating that portion of Act 3. But as far as it deemed 'weak' I guess that comes down how you define this. To me a film like X-Men Origins: Wolverine had one of the weakest third acts of superhero films after all that buildup in the first two acts. Ryan Reynolds coming back years later to make up for that act was a huge gift to wash away that pain.
  9. Act 3 was definitely not as strong as the first two acts. But even with that, Diana realizes she is the godkiller and her mission throughout life was to be the final counter to Ares. Even when she could have killed Doctor Poison, Diana in that third act shows where her heart is in being more sympathetic to mankind and not looking to embrace being an omnipotent ruler alongside Ares. If that didn't grab your attention what was taking place, I would revisit this film. But the scene where afterwards Chief goes over and hugs the German soldier like all is back to normal definitely didn't fit the atmosphere of war adversaries. It wasn't like Ares influence had been the whole of what influenced all of WW I. But I guess like a Quentin Tarantino film where he changed the events of WW II to fit the 'Inglorious Basterds' storyline, Patty Jenkins was trying to convey Ares was the primary source of all the WW I friction leading to the war.
  10. Have you read Wonder Woman stories? Even the George Perez run conveyed she was a displaced powerhouse yet a savior of mankind. Her purpose wasn't about 'who can I be friends with next'. Though naturally as she fought alongside fellow heroes over time she saw them as comrades. You should check out the Perez run. Wonderful stories covering a great character. That Shazam racism complaint was the tell there is a clear studio bias going on. Unfortunately.
  11. The third act of Wonder Woman is now bad? I know people complain it was not as powerful as the first two acts. But bad?
  12. My Fox X-Men Franchise collection is complete. And yes, with some it is a comic book version of the Good, The Bad and the Ugly. But I appreciate them all.
