  1. Hi I believe a CGC SS employee can witness the signature for you. I recommend reaching out to the SS team directly to be sure. Here is their e-mail address. SignatureSeries@cgccomics.com Mike
  2. Hi I spoke with the President of CGC regarding this. Here is what he said: This book was submitted directly to grading (no CCS pressing), and the first person to remove the book from its bag was the grader that assigned the crease note in the system. I don’t believe we damaged it. I think he just overlooked the defect.
  3. Hi I ended up going to the President of CGC. This is what he said. Ideally the repro cover would be attached with the original staples—the staples would be removed, the re-inserted through the cover. But I see this copy has brittle pages, which may pose a problem with staple removal. In that case, we would use archival tape to attach it. Best thing to do is have us attach it for him. The book will have to be regraded though, but I can offer to do the attachment for no extra charge. You would submit the cover and the book (still in the holder) to CGC pressing and choose the removal service + grading. I’ll waive the removal fee once I get it.
  4. I have asked the Vice President of comic graders, and the operations manager. The reproduction cover has to be attached. I am waiting on answers as to how, and still receive a blue label. Here is my question: How should it be attached? I have read a few older threads on the forum regarding this. The consensus was, it had to be attached with tape. If this is correct, can it be done with archival tape and still avoid a purple label?
  5. Let me try to find out. I believe the cover has to be attached to the book but, I am not 100% sure.
  6. I have built a new sub forum for selling in the pulp magazine section. Pulps and other items (not comics) can be sold there, and listed in our regular forums as well. Be sure to read the guidelines before starting a for sale thread, as there are additional rules that apply, as well as our current set of rules. https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/137-pulps-plus-other-items-for-sale-section/
  7. Hi You might find this thread interesting. You do not have to use a shipping kit.
  8. I have added permissions to the selling sub forum. Let me know if there are any problems. Also, please read the guidelines before starting a thread. These are in addition to the guidelines in the other selling forum.
  9. Awesome! Thanks for the list, Steve. Yes, the signup is now closed. I will send out all of the PM's on Wednesday. Round 1 will begin on Thursday 8:00 PM The link to round 1 in the PM, will not be visible to you until the round begins. See you there!
  10. This post is uncalled for, and very rude. Please refrain from using this attitude going forward. @jstam has a thread at the very top of this forum. It was done because there are numerous threads about registry bugs. You will find answers there, when we have them to give.
  11. I thought he was talking about the white line on the front cover. Sorry.
  12. That white line is glare. I am assuming this book has already shipped? If so, contact me when you receive it. If it hasn't let me know ASAP, and include the submission number.
  13. This is what I was told. Can you give me the tracking number? They are actually opening mail from the 12th as of today. Can you get the tracking number from him so we can make sure this did arrive and see when?
  14. I called an emergency meeting, which lasted all night. A decision was never made. It's a large Tilapia, Stu. Put up a heck of a fight. I set it free.
  15. Hi Web help has acknowledged this problem, and said they are working to get this fixed ASAP. Mike

  18. Grades are due by May 4th 8:00 PM Eastern time. Good luck! The reveal of the actual CGC grades will be posted shortly after the round is closed, with scans of the books in their CGC holders. The scoring results thread most likely won't be available until the following day. The next round will most likely be posted within 1 hour after the previous round has ended. Click on the image to supersize it. Please copy this list of books and paste it into our PM, then post your grades on the same line. Silver Surfer #10 X-Men #87 Jungle Action #21 Web of Spidey #51 Y: The Last Man #1
  19. Here are the rules. Please read them carefully. There will be 4 rounds with 5 books per round. After the deadline for the signup thread has ended, I will start a new thread in the hey buddy can you spare a grade section, scans of the first 5 books will be posted, and I will start a PM thread between myself and each participant. Be sure to use THIS PM thread to submit your grades every round. I will post a list for the books in the thread where the books are posted for each round. Please copy and paste that list into our PM, and add the grades for each book. Only CGC grades (numerical) will be accepted. Non CGC grades like fine+ or Very fine- will not be accepted. Be sure to follow the threads that the books are posted in. This is the only way you will know when the next round starts. There will be no update when the next round begins sent to our PM thread. All of the threads with the books and the results will be posted in the hey buddy can you spare a grade section. You will have 4 days to get your grades in. After I record your grades, I will reply to the PM thread so you know that your grades have been recorded. Only grades from .5 to 9.8 will be accepted. Grades of 9.9 and 10.0 that are received, will be recorded as a 9.8 Please do not bump the PM for any reason other than submitting your grades. Nobody will be allowed to change their grades. Do not discuss your grades with others in the thread until the round is closed. Also, please do not ask any questions about the books publicly or privately (by sending me a PM) . If I am provided any special notes from CGC, I will share them in the thread. If anyone fails to submit their grades for a round, or do not submit grades for all of the books in a round, their participation in the contest will be terminated. You will be able to participate in the next contest. After the 4 days are up and the round is closed, I will post scans of the books in CGC holders to reveal their grades, and include the graders notes for the books. A new thread will be started to show the results of each participant. The results thread will most likely be started the next day. There will be a new thread started for the next round. This thread will most likely be started within an hour after the prior round has ended. 0 points is the best score one can achieve. 1 point will be added to your score for each grade that is higher or lower than the actual grade. If the actual grade for the book is 5.0 and you guess 4.0, your score for that book is 2. If the actual grade for the book is 5.0 and you guess 6.0, your score for that book is 2. If the actual grade for the book is 5.0 and you guess 5.0, your score for that book is 0. CGC will be awarding Grading Credit. $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place and $100 for 3rd place.
