Wow! I see it’s nearly impossible to get a CGC 10. I have a very nice sealed unopened Mewtwo JR promo card ready to be graded and was considering sending it to CGC to save some money as PSA is so expensive now, but I don’t want to lower my chances that much to get a 10. It’s a shame but the truth is that for now anything that is not psa graded has a much lower value. And to be fair, IMO PSA deserve their current status, the population tracking system they got is exceptional.

But they will assign a grade to a strategy guide, even though it isnt a comic or magazine?
I think strategy guide can be considered as magazine? Most of them are released by magazines as a "special edition"

hey there! Just to pile on top, they absolutely grade strategy guides, i have a few pokemon and final fantasy guides graded myself!
Nice! Could you please tell me what type of submission you did, and if you add an extra note? Also, if you could share a picture of your pokemon graded guides to see how they look would be awesome

Because of the size, I would submit is as a magazine. It wouldn't hurt to put a note saying you got prior approval that this could be graded on the packing slip.
Perfect, will do so thank you very much!

Hello
I would need to know the exact dimensions. Height, width and thickness.
Mike
Hello Mike thanks for your response!
The size varies depending on the strategy guide, but it would be around 11in x 8,5in x 0,27 in
As I said, that would be a particular one, height and width are all very similar to that, and thickness is probably from 0,27 in to 0,5 in the max I would say.
Thank you

Hello
It's not the same as comics. If you want the back of the label to say _______ Collection, you can. You just need to pay the $5. But we do need to approve them. For example, we will not do them for box breaks we were not part of. Here is what it says about them on our website:
PedigreeA pedigree can be added to the certification label to indicate a card's past or present ownership. To pedigree a card to a previous owner, that collector or collection must be considered to be significant by CGC Trading Cards and sufficient documentation must be provided to confirm the requested pedigree. You can pedigree a card to yourself, typically without providing any documentation.
Oh ok i understand, so Its not like I can just pedigree a card with my name right?

I am about to submit a few pokemon cards for grading, and just seen the pedigree option. what exactly is it? It sais "enter pedegree" but not sure what that is, ive seen oon coomics the golden tag but not on pokemon cards
Do you guys grade strategy guides?
