It really is the nicest presenting 1.8 I have ever seen of that or any book. Agreed, seriously nice Agreed! Best presenting 1.8 I've ever seen.

is this just a result of everyone seeing it heat up and saying things like "I'm not grading that, $1 to $30 is enough margin for me" which has resulted into under 20 9.8 copies on the census resulting in a large market of speculators looking for this book in high grade? if the prices remain at this level there is certainly going to be a rise of subs to cgc 2nd appearance of Archangel...

Come on you are beating this Darkhawk to death... All come back and tell you it was genius if it happens, but man is that a stretch on the gem thing. Who would've thought the Aether would end up being one? Just saying there seems to be a short supply of this book on eBay. The only one out there right now http://www.ebay.com/itm/130934071813 It's priced higher than what they typically sell for but usually there's at least a half dozen of these on eBay at any given time. The day it sells for $150 there will be 3 dozen CGC 9.8 copies on eBay...

Saw it this afternoon for the first time. The Quicksilver scene in the kitchen was by far my favorite scene. And Bishop is a bad- but didn't get enough screen time...

I agree. X-Factor #23 gets overlooked. I've been grabbing them whenever I see them and just picked up another nice copy yesterday for 50 cents. Overstreet states #23 as Archangel's 1st brief appearance and #24 as his first full appearance. I'm gettting tired of the inconsistency. I know the cover to #24 would make a much better 1st appearance book, but Archangel appears in 7 panels in X-Factor #23. How is that not a 1st appearance? If Darkseid can have a 1st appearance as a single headshot on a television screen or Killer Croc's 1st appearance is a 2-panel appearance of a man in a trenchcoat then why isn't a 7 panel appearance in costume a 1st appearance book? Killer Croc's 1st appearance in Batman #357...

Your " I'm nostradamus" attitude towards every comic that gets hot is getting quite old. Almost every single book that you talk about was hot sometime in the past. This book was hot the day it was published for the same reason its getting hot today, its a first appearance. Big whoop. " I saw this coming" Yeah me too buddy, thats why I bought 10 copies the day they were released.... 20 freaking years ago.... You're a little late bub. Considering there are what.. about a million copies of this book out there, if it continues this pricing in 9.8 it will go down after mass submissions and stabalize around $75. Simply too many copies out there in high grade. Supply in 9.8 is currently lower than it should be, that explains the price. Someone needs to say it. So it might as well be you? Sure, why not? I feel a certain way and I let it be known, im not one to hide that. Im just trying to let you know, it is honestly getting old. A rising tide lifts all boats!!! EXACTLY! I'm seeing pretty much any and all moderately key 1st appearance books rising...some more than other...but all rising. It's amazing. I'm considering liquidating my entire collection and waiting for the tide to subside to get back in.
