I'm getting to be in my later 30's and I honestly must say...I miss a time in comics when things were a bit more...basic. But as we all know the current trend is variants and it has soiled my collecting of new comics some. How do you know which one will be "the one" to pick up? For example...
ASM 55 has so many different covers. How can you possible choose which one to invest your money in on a graded version?
You don't.

The numbers from LOST were already taken?
I'm not an Adam Hughes or catwoman fan.

Hi all, this is my first post here. I have a large Silver age collection from my father and recently started having each issue graded by CGC. Most are coming back in the 6.5-7.5 range but my Detective #359 came back at 3.5 due to a 1 inch x 1 inch missing piece on the bottom rear cover corner. I'm wondering if it's worth sending this issue in for CGC restoration? I know that restored comics are not as valued in general but I also know that this issue is in high-demand. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.
Leave it alone.

I would slab the keys. Sell the small keys on ebay and use comicconnect for bigger books.
The grief counselling topic - discuss the comics you owned which are lost, stolen or destroyed
