  1. Were we ever told who the krappy shipper was? I made sure to go overkill on pitboss' books. Which got me in the end.
  2. Two books, same thread. If both books were accepted together you owed $26K. If you gave 1K you still owed $25K. Why would a book be sent. I would look at it as a downpayment. I see no entitlement to the Av.4. To the list.
  3. I would also like to speak on Adams behalf. I spent approximately $550.00 on 2 GA All-Stars with Adam. We made arrangements for time payments. I figured it would be no sweat, and we proceeded with the transaction. Well no less than 3 weeks later I lost my job. I had to delay on payments, had other issues. And not 1 single time did Adam make me uncomfortable. It took alot longer than I had hoped, but I finally finished the transaction after awhile. I kept in contact, sent payment when I could and let him know I was doing what I could. In the end, he received his money and I got my books. I met him this year, and the guy is as nice a guy you could hope to meet. We had some good conversation, and everything ends with a happy ending. In the end. I have to say Thank You Adam. You are one of the nicest and most reasonable people in this hobby, and I have my grail because of your understanding. So to hear someone did this, I am a bit surprised..
  4. I'll help you store them Very kind of you sir. I just started the 4th CGC box this week, and have a few on the way. Next is the value tier submissions, which will clear out the raw GA-BA I have collected.
  5. I wish I wasnt so lazy.. I just picked up a raw 110, and 201. Plus the other 6 BA issue numbers i listed in the "this week in your collection". I have passed 10% complete of my run though! 50-850 will be done in no time (thats a joke) I am actually trying to figure out where I will keep all those slabs

  11. 1st Spectre. Hands down! 6.0 Blue label, presents well. Part of the only decent era of More Fun Comics. Cool cover, and seems a pretty tough run to build. If the Tec27 were SP this would have played out different

  13. My purchases have tripled with the new format. I love it. And everyone just goes where they want. OT: My friend Mazzman77 joined a few months ago, his first raw only sales thread in mixed ages sold out in less than 24 Hours! It can't be that bad.

  15. All-Star 3 are you even trying anymore!! First Superhero team, sweet key book, and most of my favorite GA characters on a classic cover
  16. Agreed, the 30 days wait is too long. Maybe 20 days to allow for bad weather, emergencies, etc. Ive been holding books for one member for like 45 days.. But hes a friend, keeps adding. And I told him I would gladly work a larger box for him since itsgoing to the UK. And now he waits longer because I am getting two of his books SS at WWPA for him, that he shipped a short while ago. Helping friends
  17. Who was it, because I know someone who had the same issue. No offense, but all the horror stories I hear are from MA sellers.. But personally I havent had many issues here on the boards.
  18. Dont buy from them and move on. Most people cant grade worth spoon. I agree 100% = most people can't grade to save their lives. The latest trend I have been encountering more and more: " CAL you missed this spot upper right corner 1/16" back cover - I think that your NM- 9.2 you sold me is really a 7.0 on it's BEST day! I know you said All sales final and you provided 5 scans per book and PayPal took up for you. Your others were spot on." Two months later I get this: " This eBayer emailed me through the eBay messaging system and told me you can't grade worth squat - that TTA # 94 you sold him as NM- 9.2 was sent in and came back VF+ 8.5. Is this true? Please reply when and if you can. Sincerely, xyz who is interested in your CGC CM 7 9.8". I waited a few minutes before I replied: " Sir/madam, I appreciate your concern and alerting me of this unfortunate situation. I wished that person had tried to work something out with me instead of emailing prospective bidders on my current auctions, which is in clear violation of the eBay guidelines. I may have sent him a free comic or two, or compensated him a difference of NM- 9.2 to the 8.5, maybe even bought the comic back outright as it is allegedly graded, but to do this s/he has closed all doors to me doing anything other than calling the Bay Monday morning. Your inquiry is a strange one as I only have three "raw" Wolverines up for sale right now but you say you are interested in that CM 7 CGC 9.8? But to answer what I THINK you want a response to is this: ' The buyer of that TTA 94 NM- 9.2 told ME in an earlier email( I save them all in the eBay system until they get auto deleted) that I missed a spot. Said it was a 7.0 AT BEST. S/he is probably right. HOWEVER, s/he sent the comic in for grading, and YOU say s/he got a VF+ 8.5. This is .7 off of what I sold it at. YOU have to decide if this .7 is "way off" versus the initial contact I received as being 2.2 off, which I would then feel obligated ready to remedy. Bottom Line: these "experts" cry foul, but still send in this overgraded book to CGC/PGX/ACE/whoever. If ANY Seller misses one, why would any Buyer still send the overgraded book in for grading? Please reply when you can.' Have not heard from the person for a while. Tried a few days ago to get communications going again - got a warning from ebay not to contact this person anymore. Comments??? CAL puzzled PM coming Cal. Dont want to clutter the thread.
