  1. Some terrific books poppin' up on the Boards of late! :applause:

    Continuing the collection parade, here are two of my new favorites - I don't think it's going too far out on a limb to call them "rare" (Larson copy on the right):

    for what it is worth here is the larson copy....

    DAAAAMN! I've never seen a copy of either of those, and we get (2) #4's in the same post! Those are easily a couple of the rarest comics left in existance. Thank goodness for Mr. Larson.

  2. rick, those are 3 Monster books!!

    :applause::applause::applause:

    thanks, they came from a "monster" collector lol

    I bet that aman 22 would look real good in someone's collection :baiting:

    Rick's just too easy to deal with. Sold 3 books that had not seen the light of day in years with no probs what so ever. Thanks for a very easy deal, Rick.

  3. Just ran across my Rockford copy of Captain Aero #14 in which the 'Hammerhead Hawley' story is Russ Heath's 1st ever comic art. Since the book is very tough to come by and most collectors have probably never seen this before, thought I would post the scans. BTW, I saw in Heath's wiki-profile that this story was pencilled by Quinlan, don't know if that's true or not, as the story is fully signed by Heath and I always understood that it was pencilled and inked by Heath, so if someone know's for sure, i'd like to know. I'd hope Russ could remember either way. Here they are:

  5. This is my first post on the board. Haven't collected comics in about 5 years, but have recently bought a few and since Centaurs are a fave of mine, thought I would post a pic of one I have. I'm particularly fond of Funny pages since the title (with Comics Magazine) is the most important title ever created - IMHO, and have long been looking to put the run together (going on 15 years now). Still a few shy - apparantly it's not a rush and i'm not interested 'in grade' any more as I once was, so when the right low grade copies come along of the ones i'm missing, i'll pick them up. Here's one of the 'nice' books I have. Oh, and the only thing done to the book is it appears the front side of the top staple had 'popped' and someone decided to put a little glue there to hold it down, otherwise there is nothing. I think they would put it in a blue label now, since other 'restored' Mile Highs are not 'purpled' like this one... which is just silly to me.
