Tell them politely to go pound sand.
-slym
There's a polite way to do that?
I find that using a British accent while saying it tends to help in that regard.
"Who here likes a good story about a bridge?"
-
I kinda figured this was the answer, hence why I added it to my question. on a side note, I have warned him several times of his actions and how he's being perceived but one can only do so much.At the risk of being called his "friend" again, at what point is this Hustruck venting no longer about venting and more about railing on him for sport. Or is this brought upon by his behavior?Sometimes you just answer your own question.
There have been a couple new Boardies I've tried to advise when they were making bad names for themselves...I wasn't at all successful, I think ever!
If there were ever a place that has a long memory and where reputation precedes people, it's this place. Some never learn that lesson.

Which was done in the first PM thread. The second PM puzzles the bejeezus out of me.

Basically, "here is an eBay sale on a raw copy that sold for $3. What can you do on your 9.8 SS copy?"
-
So say a person who is notorious for being a lowballer asks you about a few books. You already have a discount on your pricing, but then cut an extra deal on top of it. They then return with a PM saying they are not looking to pay that much, and then provide eBay results that include results on sales of blue copies that do not include multiple signatures (as your books do), as well as one example that is a raw sale vs a 9.8 SS book. How does one reason with that? Also, how does one deal with a new PM from the person when the person has apparently forgotten that you already have a PM conversation still going regarding the exact same books?
-
Why is God Of Thunder (who I have never had dealings with) given a pass?
It must be because he was the 2012 Forumite of the year.

All PMs replied to.
I just got this PM reply to me telling him that opening up a Paypal dispute was ridiculous and that a Probation Thread discussion was going to start...
here is it in it's entirety and I have nothing to hide, so not sure what he is talking about...
Hidden Reply:
"I really don't appreciate any threats. That is not appropriate. I understand your frustration, but since you still haven't delivered the items in a timely fashion, I think it is appropriate to ask for a refund. I tried to work this out amicably, but you made a choice and wished to play hard ball. I understand and that is OK. But you should also understand that I have the right to do what I feel is in my best interest. And really? You are going to threaten a probation thread entry. Please go ahead. I will also list in the probation thread exactly what I asked you and what your response was. I really don't think it is advisable to start a war of words. Just refund my money and I will drop it right here. Nothing has been shipped yet, no transaction has been completed.
Thank you,"
The he removed himself from topic...
Probation list and several sellers already notified that have or are doing business with him.
This is not the Wild Wild West people. I have an obligation to live up to as a seller (which I have not neglected) and he has an obligation as a buyer.
The really stupid part is that the removed himself from the topic, thereby deleting the PM from his inbox and any cache of "ammunition" for his "war of words."

Good job on contributing something you think is an original thought, but undeniably is not. Then, you follow it up with nonsense that you think is supportive of your assertion.
Keep laughing. It doesn't bother me in the least as I give your posts as much credibility as everyone else does.

The digital 9s were created because the savy people figured out a nm book wouldn`t be worth slabbing. That`s how I see it, and for someone to suggest something different is like someone offering me a famous bridge in brooklyn for sale.
Huh?
Here is a copy and paste bolded,so I don`t have to write it again. Follow the arrow,as that`s a hint.
I hope that`s answers your huh
For the most part comics that had a little value of less than a dollar until someone put a 9.8 or sig on them. Think about it,as most bronze, copper and modern comic book books valued at nm in Overstreet go for a few dollars at best in nm, but when you put that 9.6 or 9.8 label on them, then the value goes up significantly or if the 9.8 doesn`t work, then add a sig as well for the book to have some value.
It`s all about artificial value created for the majority of these comics because if you took off that 9.8 or it didn`t get that sig with someone witnessing it, then the nm comic reverts back to being worth to less than a dollar.
Myself from now on I am sticking to just golden age and silver age comics to be certified,as the rest of the market just doesn`t seem like a good bet, unless they are super uber keys.
Who cares if I get the latest issue of the Image hot comic book in 9.8 and sig if everybody else has one as well? Where is the future value in that? It reminds me of the Franklin Mint and the manufacturing of collectibles.
I like when the nonsensical make with the condescension.

Awesome news
You know what's a damn shame? A book with only one issue out *cough*Bedlam*cough* has 700 more posts about it than one that's been out for over 12 years. No accounting for quality stories and art when there's a quick buck to be made.

I mean...uh, look! Another Walking Dead thread!

Oh, and
I'm pleasantly surprised with how
Woodbury
turned out set-design wise!
Not a set. It's the town of Senoia. Just about 15 minutes from my house. They didn't do much other than put up some signs and the blockades.

...the big bearded African American guy...Tyreese clone p'raps?
Nope. I'll go ahead and share my personal theory about how they are going to bring Tyreese into the show. Not wrapping this in spoilers, as it is merely conjecture on my part, but I have a really strong hunch on this one. Ready?
So, what will happen is, T-Dog will get bitten or killed in some fashion and, right before he croaks, there will be some sort of heartfelt interaction between him and another character (probably Rick) in which there will be dialogue along these lines:
"We never even knew your real name..."
"It's...Tyreese...gurgle..."
[Cue loud gnashing of teeth from Internet.]
