PM's would be appreciated. Thanks!

Gotta love HPB!
I only once found good deals on comics there. Usually pretty disappointing.
But I'll have to check for these clearance days.

Caesar by Colleen McCullough. Great Historical Fiction series (Masters of Rome) that was meticulously researched.
-
Is comicsupply on these boards the same comicsupply on Ebay?
Is that a yes?
Yes

Kudos to James Welborn for helping me get a Hulk 181 -- quite possibly my last expensive comic purchase for quite some time. (But the transaction was fantastic, I just have to tighten my belt a bit now).
-
Kudos to flatrock for some great books for a great deal again. Even threw in some free reading material One of our forum's best class acts.

Nice touch having the monitor on the forums

And by the way Gilberto was online as I grabbed his URL for Leon (MySpace tells you). I think it's time to call it for what it is. Hopefully people can get their $$$ back, however.

Hey pep....think we found him on myspace...but need KingofRulers to confirm its him...ill PM you the link
Regarding gilbertotorres, I would greatly appreciate a copy of that link via PM. I was dumb enough to mail a check for $130 based on previous posts on the boards saying the guy was okay. Of course, that was 2+ months ago with no book anywhere in sight and several agreements broken before he dropped out of communication.
By the way, a couple adjacent units at the same postal addresses are Internet domain place holders, so the whole thing stinks like a scam.

E-mail sent.

The link that was sent to me is him for sure.
And he has logged on more recently there than here (a week ago, I think). Guess he didn't die/lose internet.

Kudos to Count for making me buy way more comics than I should have and for helping me get comic presents for everyone in my wife's family.

Spidey Futon!
Awesome. Good work.

Adding a guideline to avoid reposting any books for at least a week after the original threads goes up does seem like a reasonable idea.
Comments appreciated.
(thumbs u
(thumbs u again. I don't see how it'd be enforced, but I think it is a good rule.
Also if possible, making it so people must have 100 posts before creating a thread in the FS forum? Maybe?
Which could be 100 graemlins, rattled off in the half-hour following registration.
You're right, but it's better than nothing.

Send another check.
Next.

]Maybe he was too young for these boards to begin with.
Would've made me nervous, but I had only heard positive things about his past transactions. I considered buying one of his books from the VCC, but it was sold before I made a decision.
There is just a fundamental difference in the level of responsibility between 13-14 year olds and adults (95% of them anyway). There just is. And he dabbled in expensive books...
-
Well, the problem with this is that, as soon as he gets the books he returns them. Sounds to me like the deal between the two parties has gone south - why prolong it?
Did I miss that part of the thread?
Ya mean the part where it's obvious they don't like each other?
(thumbs u Just making sure we weren't dealing with a chronic returner.

Can we return to the way the marketplace forum used to be? YES WE CAN
I'll admit my ignorance ask how the marketplace used to be?
Oh and...

Okay. Now I think I understand why JC gets so annoyed with certain sellers.
-
It could have been through a PM
You know if we are going to be honest around here with our transactions with other members, names should be given out. Pros and cons about the transaction, if not, its not any better then Ebay feedback, or as meaningful.
I agree with Nik. If the seller doesn't make it right, you have every right to name drop
I always agree with Nik, but who is he talking to?
As to the seller making it right . . . it perhaps was a nice FN/VF book when he sent it but now there is is a long vertical crease in the REFC - what's a boy to do about a $25 book? I just as soon move along. It's clear he can't grade either. So can't grade, can't pack, yet he's still selling books hand over feet - go figure
We're asking for a name so we can start a witch hunt.

My one comment on this issue...
Praise in public, and criticize in private. If you have a problem with somebody, right, wrong, good, or bad, PM them and handle it in private. There's nothing wrong with having a problem with somebody, or disagreeing on whether or not the rules have been broken, but the best way to handle that is to PM that person and talk to them directly, not air it out in the sales thread.
Now back to the program
And don't trash people's prices in public. Pm them, if anything.

I don't think even JC was necessarily saying anything was wrong with what borock did. He just objected to one or two people implying Borock could have as many threads as he wants. So, I don't think JC has a problem with anything borock did.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow! I love the Duck war bonds books. Makes me think I need to branch out a bit...
