Got this in email after paying for Walt Simonson SS...Private Signing Card? Are they emailing card to me? Where do I find this card? Thanks

    1. Place your collectible and backing board in the window bag.
    2. Carefully cut out the Private Signing Cards.
    3. Place the Private Signing Card behind the corresponding backing board.
    4. Make sure the Private Signing Card is visible through the back side of the window bag.

Yeah, I don't understand this either being I can't print my own labels. Maybe it's something to do with that and they think we all are printing our own labels.

  2. Was going through an extent of my collection and happy to say I have just about every card possibly could had been saved from our favorite 90s' Comic Book Magazine. Decided to look since a recent Comic Book Co had some of the Magazines Encapsulated. Thought I would share them with you here. It's amazing how much of an impact Jim Lee, Rob Liefeld, and Todd McFarlane has had in our childhood.

  3. So if we don't have window bags, we can purchase them. Can we purchase them after we send in our books to have them placed into them for said signing or does this need to be done before hand. I'm wanting to submit a few for signing. Being new I am finding the rules a bit difficult to navigate. Thanks!

No, they really aren't. Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is not, in any way, related to Counterpoint's Do You Pooh or any of their other nonsense.

Blood and Honey is the creation of Rhys Frake-Waterfield and his tiny British indie film studio. The film is frankly awful, but it also made better than $3M on a budget of less than $100,000, so Frake-Waterfield plans to make not only a sequel, but similar horror film adaptations of other properties whose original works are in or entering the public domain. Expect slasher-film treatments of Bambi and Peter Pan. Hopefully with some money behind them, they'll be better.

None of this is related to Counterpoint Comics or its principle figure, Marat Mychaels. Blood and Honey is not a film adaptation of Do You Pooh. And there are quite a few reasons to expect that Counterpoint material cannot and will not see film adaptations. Most importantly, Counterpoint isn't selling a story; they're selling cover variants, and you can't put out hundreds of different versions of a film and have people buy them like they -- for some reason -- seem to do for their "comics".

If anyone tells you that Hardlee Thinn, Do You Pooh, or any of Counterpoint's other titles is going to become a film... they are probably trying to sell you Counterpoint products.

I totally disagree with you when they are putting out Do You Pooh; Blood and Honey along with having everything like Pooh and offset issues Blood and Honey. Need some proof that it's not inspired or any help in making the films. Someone probably sold me a Counterpoint Comic that I had graded.

I'm not even faulting Counterpoint for appealing to "pervs". They're hardly the first books with nude variants. Heck, speaking of Dawn, the Cry for Dawn 5 limited had a nude centerfold (and none of the covers to 5 were exactly subtle). But Vampirella at least had a long history as a legit horror mag. Dawn actually had a pretty good plot for awhile, too.

Plus, you know, those titles had new issues. Linsner had a limited cover or two apiece, but after that, you'd get the next book. Vampirella has eleventh bajillion different books. Counterpoint has a handful of books with what frankly amount to "excuse plots" and hundreds upon hundreds of cover variants. It seems different to me. Don't get me wrong, Counterpoint gets some talented artists. But you're pretty much just paying for numbered prints in comic book form, aren't you? There's no comic book there.

I assume some of these will keep value because of crossover appeal. The Star Wars action figure package covers aren't going down in value anytime soon because Star Wars prints money. And I don't doubt that people will always spend some amount of cash for tig ol' bitties on shiny foil paper. But go pull up the Registry set for Hardlee Thinn One-Shots. There's three pages of them so far, more on the request thread, and lots missed along the way. How are 90% of these going to hold any interest or value in 10 years?

Now they are going to become Films. Note: Blood and Honey

No worries, funny coincidence! They stopped selling books a while ago, but I always had very good experiences with them, so I'd say if you're into Funko Pops, check them out.

Sure will. My kid is a bit more than myself. Priced our Antman from the 1st movie release online for a whooping $500, must be rare or hard to find.

as well intentioned and knowledgeable as some of the people here are, it is totally up to you.

    So basically here's the steps:

    1.  Get a membership to CGC that allows you to submit directly.  Most likely this will be done online by going to the CGC website.  You may have to pay for this membership.

    2.  Log in to your membership on the CGC website, and fill out all the paperwork as normal to submit your books, as if you were shipping them yourself.  Print out the copies, sign them and include payment info or whatever.

    3.  Get a copy of your signed paperwork to whoever your vendor is, wherever they are.

    4.  Arrange with your vendor to include those signed papers in the package of stuff they are shipping out.

    5.  Arrange for that vendor to ship the items (with the paperwork) to CGC, obviously you will have to pay them to ship.  (note that some vendors may be hesitant to ship to a different address than your credit card, but you'll have to solve that yourself if it becomes an issue).  Vendor ships to CGC.

    6.  CGC opens the box, full of comics and paperwork that hopefully match, and they process your order as normal.  They don't care where the books came from or where they're shipping back to, unless there are some type of international restrictions on the country of origin like North Korea or Iran.

That should do it.  It will obviously be awful if the comics are damaged or some books are missing or if there's a customs issue or something else shady happens, but it sounds like you're willing to accept the risk, which is totally fine and nobody's problem but yours (and maybe the unlucky CGC staff you're dealing with).

I would also note that if you are considering getting something signed then graded, you should fully investigate the CGC SS program and the required processes to ensure you get the result you expect.

    Good luck.

Umm... I am member 😆 thanks though 🤗

The fact that the seller is non-domestic (international), intragalactic, or even intergalactic does not matter one iota because what you're trying to avoid is a "second" shipping fee from your location in the U.S. to Sarasota, right?  If you see my first comment as anything other than cautionary and positive, you're too far gone for help.  Good luck.  :foryou:

Non Domestic and not scalping, also they carry stuff we don't get here. They are happy to help. Last company actually sent me some 9.9 and hopefully the Hugh Jackman that was Signed and sent for grading comes back the same. Never seen it once. Sometimes you got to trust people.

You need to include invoices with your orders to CGC. If you ordered from a company that submits to CGC themselves, they would be able to deal for you. However, I can't imagine wanting to send a product to CGC prior to inspecting it myself...

They do not have a way to Submit to CGC as of yet. They are a London Company with 7 years sales experience and nobody has ever asked for Graded unless it was pre-order. They are new to grading and other shows like Galaxy Con sends stuff to be graded after witness signing, all they need is your Number.

  10. I'm ordering direct from an Overseas Seller since it's hard to get what I want here in the States. Also, should be able to trust the people we are making purchases from.

So you have no (zero) interest in personally inspecting your books before entering into a contract for certification/encapsulation services with CGC?  hm  Just to save on shipping?  hm  hm  This is generally referred to as "penny wise, pound foolish" thinking, and if you're prone to doing it with regularity, slap yourself upside your head ASAP.   doh!

You already know what could go right: you save a few bucks on shipping to CGC.  Now, make a list of what could go wrong.  We'll wait to see what you come up with on your own before commenting further. :hi:

Well, it's an Overseas Company since it's been hard to get anything ordered here with the Scalpers always around. So, you don't bid on items. That's cool. Some of us are bidding on items. Bought a Hugh Jackman Autograph for $700 and had it sent immediately to be graded. Can trust my buys. Need a positive answer not some negative information.

  11. Making an attempt to build a nice Graded Collection. I would like to know if the Comapny that an order is being processed from to be shipped to me could be shipped to CGC instead of paying double for shipping after arrival to my place of buisness. They ship to CGC then I can be billed later?? If there is a process can someone explain a bit please. Thanks!

  12. Is there a simplified way to mail in comics for grading. A lot of my books are Virgin covers with no info and never been opened. I know the characters and don't recall all the prices paid for. Its a bit difficult to fill out the form and not know the exacts of the books. Instead of trying to do each one individually and all the extra selections making it a bit hard for me to navigate for sending. Thanks!

  13. Sure, it's only been the one out 2 recording, just interested in getting all of mine. The one is just not sealed right around the Place Card. Thanks! I will definitely notify you guys before sending.

  14. Hi! I am looking to submit a bunch of Comics for Grading, maybe Cards and other items. Having bought Graded items, 1 of the newer items purchased on-line auction came in and the case is slightly opening at the top if moved just right. So as a purchaser of an already bad case, would I be able to send it in to be re-graded? Unfortunately a video is the only way to show the problem that I know of the moment.
