It's a cool, funny, and overall VERY DARK work. I enjoyed JTHM quite a bit as a teenager. Definitely speaks to the social angst you feel during that time.
Also interesting is that Jhonen, of course, went on to create the much more light-hearted Zim the Invader.
It's too bad he stopped doing Zim (and pretty much everything else)
Anyone know of a current artist that has a similar style?

Thanks for the info, it's just too much of a pain to buy the whole collection at once since I've already gotten #1 and 2, and I don't want to go through the hassle of buying them again and reselling the doubles.

I'm posting here as opposed to a buying forum because I figure you all would know best. Where is the best place to find individual back issues (1-20) at reasonable prices? I'm trying to do a run, but slowly because its not really high on my list right now, and I have issues #1 and #2. I'm looking to pickup #3 this month, maybe #4 next month, just take it easy until I get to ones that are closer to cover price.
I've checked like a dozen online shops, and are pretty thin in the 1-20 issue range. Even ebay really doesn't have a lot of individual issues, and I don't feel like piecing together lots and ending up with a lot of duplicates either. It's probably cheaper in the longrun just to buy the whole collection at once, but those prices are like 200+ on ebay.
Thanks!

I just read #65 and I was kinda surprised at the uproar from fans that were posted in the fan letter section from issue #63. It seems there was a lot of hate about that issue. I haven't been reading Invincible that long, and I'm still catching up on the back issues, but I thought #63 was an excellent book. I don't think I've ever read a comic book that left that much of an impression. It did an excellent job of connecting the readers emotionally with the character. Kirkman did it right. I hope he won't restrain from later stories because of the negative feedback he got. It was really a love it or hate it issue.
