"Replica" don't mean what it used to (don't mind me, I'm just venting)

That falls into the ‘seen by some as irrelevant’ category. As completists, we’d disagree. -
Villains first appearance vs hero’s first appearance??
Ken Aldred replied to Bo1983's topic in Comics General
Also first Catwoman in Batman 1. Two classic characters in one Golden Age key. -

It’s nice to have a complete reprint, such as DC’s Millennium Editions or Famous First Editions, but that also leads to reprinting a lot of material that might be seen as irrelevant or boring or insignificant. For example, their Detective Comics 27 was a great, complete reprint from my perspective, but most of the anthology book might be seen as pointless to others. There’s the diametrical conflict. -
My New Book - HOW TO ANALYZE & REVIEW COMICS
Ken Aldred replied to Mac Man's topic in Comics General
It sounds very interesting and I should have a read. Even if a story is highly regarded in general, there may still, in the end, be some factor which you dislike which leads you to disagree with the consensus. It will be worth reading for an alternative insight, but I simply give my honest analysis and conclusions about a comic I’ve read, and if others disagree, that’s fine, as it’s just an exercise in subjectivity - even with this publication. -
It is sad. I met him at a convention, just as solitary. I bought Flash Archives 1 and 2 and had him sign them for me. Nice guy to chat with.

Somewhere far away, Alan Moore is screaming.

I only recall a Wendy’s in central London. Never seemed to take off anywhere else in the U.K. I quite liked them. -
It got to be far too preachy, as well as being complete pants.

I’d actually forgotten it was on, after episode 2. That excited by the new season.

131 to 168 World War Hulk Incredible Hulk 106 to 111 (6) World War Hulk Worldbreaker one-shot (1) Iron Man Director of Shield 19, 20 (2) World War Hulk Frontline mini-series 1 to 6 (6) World War Hulk (main series) 1 to 5 (5) Irredeemable Ant-Man 10 (1) Ghost Rider 12, 13 (2) Heroes For Hire 11 to 15 (5) World War Hulk X-Men mini-series 1 to 3 (3) World War Hulk Gamma Corps mini-series 1 to 4 (4) Avengers The Initiative 4, 5 (2) Punisher War Journal 12 (1) (38 in total) The alien world setting of Planet Hulk made its storyline proceed nicely in a linear fashion, whereas Marvel overcompensates with World War Hulk, attempting to exploit the earthbound sequel by dumping far too many unnecessary and largely irrelevant mini-series. The main storylines in World War Hulk and Incredible Hulk are perfectly okay, but the repetition of two scenes in particular, the arrival of Hulk and the Warbound, and the Iron Man vs Hulk battle first shown in Iron Man : Director of Shield brings the story progression to a grinding halt after World War Hulk 1. Ant-Man, Heroes for Hire and X-Men have little of relevance or insight to add, and generally mediocre art. Iron Man, Punisher and Gamma Corps were the better stories, with the Gamma Corps series indirectly questioning Hulk’s motivations for revenge and whether it was misguided. Frontline was an interesting ‘ordinary people’ take on the events. Ghost Rider, though largely irrelevant, had a final Illuminati scene which indicated that something might not have been quite right about Hulk's obsession with vengeance. The main World War Hulk series, once it picks up again from the mini-series, is a perfectly fine slugfest. Not that keen on the JR JR art, though.

I re-read them every few years. So much classic material.

You’ve nicked my idea, Kav. -
Sadly, we’ll never get to see The Thanos Copter, as the concession made to fan demand was simply to make Thanos’ weapon in Endgame resemble a helicopter blade. Disappointing.

I'm gonna give Love and Rockets one more try. Please help.
Ken Aldred replied to NoMan's topic in Comics General
Fantagraphics has published many collected editions of the various Love and Rockets series from the very beginning, collecting the story arcs by the two Hernandez brothers separately. I’m much more into Jaime’s work than Gilbert’s, but give them both a try. https://www.fantagraphics.com/search?q=Love+and+rockets&options[unavailable_products]=show&options[prefix]=last I have most of the original magazines and comics, and a full digital collected edition run of Jaime’s material. -
I’m not owned by this corporation. You’re confusing me with Ken Carson.

Sadly not in the Shang Chi movie.
