Nice face.

I liked the first issue. It had a good pace to it, and got me curious for more of the story. Hits on today's problems, as-well-as a, " when I was a youngster ", type of feel.
Luckily one of my comic shops had multiple blank variants that I could pick-up at cover price for my commission work.
-
Bruce Wayne as a addict? Oh my.
Love the type style used on the title.
-
Cool. I didn't know this existed.
I'm surprised CGC didn't count this as a double cover ( this is like the rest of the D.O.T.F. die-cut covers right? ) and denote the die-cut cover condition, and the inner regular cover condition.

Looks like you're going to make a visit to your Post office.
Just got this sweet FF28 YEAH!Unfortunately the Post Office treated it like this
And so the case ended up like this.
SONOVUH.....
It's because it was marked "Fragile". The Post Office wanted to test this for themselves.

Nice.
Stan the man has got to find better placement for his sig. though. I've seen him sign other comics, and the man just doesn't respect the printed artwork.
Kudos to GACollectibles for getting some Stan Lee sigs for me. -
Very nice illustration. This is no sketch; it's much more.
If you're thinking of having this original colored, I'd say you're crazy. If you're saying you have someone who will make it a digital copy, then color it, I'll say alright.
And finally . . . Might I say - finally, someone who knows how to draw a females fist.

That was fun to watch.
I like the reporter's last blurb, that theft of comic books was hard to have people take seriously - oh how time has changed. You can almost smell the week old clothes on those boys.
That size of the shop was about the size of the one in Uptown.
Memory lane was established in downtown Toronto in the 60'sI posted this in a thread some while ago.
Be prepared to look at mint everything AND in comic book racks.

As I recall, in Minneapolis, MN. it was in 1974.
A comic book store in Uptown,

Those are beautiful books Greggy. You must have a great collection.

Wow! Those "T.V. Super Heroes" comics are great!
[font:Comic Sans MS]The latest additions to my "Signed by Mike" Collection, and quite possibly my favorites (2,3,6) of the bunchMike signed the covers of #3 & #6 because he pencilled the covers as well as inked them.
Super TV Heroes #2

Where is that Gif. from? That is awesome.
I only want a 9.8 copy,but thanks for asking.
You keeping that X-Men #25 B&W cover?Just in today from CGC. Finally got an X-men #25 Black & White sketch to come back a 9.8
Yes I am, but like I said I finally got a 9.8 meaning I have a few others from previous attempts. I have a cgc 9.4 and a 9.6 X-men #25 B&W's that I'd be willing to sell or trade.
I would keep too (thumbs u
Snob.
I have OCD,I can't help it
If I landed a 9.8 you'd have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers... and hope I didn't haunt you for it...

You got these from your local comic shop? Very niiiiiice.
I've been waiting for these LCS finds that I sent into CGC back in early Dec under Fast Track Economy and they did not disappoint. OMG^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^

Seconded! Wish I could find this book in this great shape. Congrats.
What a book.
-
Bought this as a 9.4 raw from Peter Palmer
He kindly got it signed by Barbara Eden, Bill Daily and Larry Hagman for me
And here it is
Barbara Eden was HOT when she played Jeannie in that show.
Yes. And when she played her evil sister... va-va-va-voom!
She was also sizzling on a episode of "Andy Griffith".
This is a keeper. Nice book.

Can't believe I didn't catch that. Funny stuff.
Whomever decided to put "Zombie bondage cover" on the label must be cracking up . . .
-
Thats a beauty
thanks
Very nice. Some of the best artwork of the entire series ( including the
re-vamped junk ) resides within that issue. Gil Kane and Romita Sr.
were a wonderful match.
Great action scenes.

This has been posted before.

A few more books picked up this week.
Very nice books; and of my favorite Thor covers to boot.

Sounds like the money is going for a worthy cause as-well.
A win, win situation.
WOW! Greggy pulling out all the stops today! That Avengers #59s colors just POP.This is why you are the Master, and we but your subjects.
Thanks, some guy at a local con was selling the mostly original owner collection of his friend who is ill and needs the $$.
The beauty of it is that the local market doesn't really appreciate these types of books so despite me not being there first, I was able to buy the most of the books.
I wasn't able to pay for everything total (12 more books - ASM 31, 66, 68, 74, 75, 77, 80, 84, 94, 108 and Silver Surfer 8 and 12). Paid $3000 for the lot, which is huge for a local convention but will make back tons.
The quality was so good for the late 60s and later stuff that I had to leave so solid 9.4 books.
The person who was selling the books for his friend is aware of CGC, as he graded his collection a few years ago and got $380K for it.
I hope to eventually get to the Batmans, Detectives, and Green Lanterns.

Is a Barry Smith cover worth more than BWS cover, or are they two seperate people?
-
I remember seeing quite a few of these at a few shops.
When I returned it for the correct interior, I found a few
more with the wrong interior: I believe "The Fan"
fanzine talked about this.
-
Very cool. Are those from Bobcat? I was thinking of getting some, but
didn't think they would look this good.
Something different, unused Superman Peanut Butter labels. -
Cut out the page, , you're killing me.
I was going thru my old FF low/mid grade box of readers and I was just about to toss this water damaged issue but I flipped open and see the sig...no idea if it is real but I might just cut out the page and frame the splash page
