  1. Maybe you could let us know which book is it, because there s many details to consider... I mean you said that the book is sold for an average price of 200 but you don't say which condition we got for 200$ so I guess it's for an high condition book, so it's probably a modern book, now is it a popular book who have plenty of graded copies or a weird indy book... ?? And we could still ask many more questions... thats Interesting, but I think to go further we need to know which book it is. Except if you need to keep the secret
  2. Considering the age they are I m curious to know which charachters you collected to get so low value data...?
  3. Mhhh... this last part of the message make me envious to go on a big book that I seen on ebay one day ago... I think this book is a sleeper anyway so it could be the time to make a good deal!
  4. I have more than 1000 books... and do you really think it's an easy business to find coverless 90s stuff? It's destructive but plenty of guys make some custom tpb, omni... in a way its killing the books too.
  5. If they are no writing or torned missing piece I don't care... I'm not obsessive in everything's I'm obsessive on specific things
  6. I already read online because many series that i read are connected with some series that i dont want to collect... but as I said I love to have the physical copies with the real paper... but I'm at a point where I cannot enjoy it anymore because I'm focused on the cover and his defects... now my only preoccupation is if it could be considered as destroying the history to pull off the cover... (I will keep the covers don't take me for a madman to the point to throw them out LOL)
  7. Found an old thread who spoke about coverless value... What do you think of an average price of 1/3 of the guide value for a 2.0 for coverless books? What would you paid for them?
  8. JLA #1 (1960) A nice looking low grade copy, missing piece on the top right front corner, missing pieces on the back, lower staple is detached, the spine split is severe... from the bottom to almost the top staple. The spine is stressed, some color breaks here and there... the inside look nice. its all I can say about this book. Asking 500 + shipping BE WARNED, Book shipped from Switzerland, it will take long to come to you!!! Payment by PayPal only. NO RETURN, Like the title of the book!
  9. I read all the books I still not have on digital when I need but for me having the books physically in hands as he was originally printed several decades in the past is just a different thing, I never considered reprinted stuff... and I mean even without a cover is fabulous to have a 40s bat or supes book In your hands...
  10. Please read it entirely and be comprehensive.
  11. OK so... after 2 years in it i realize that like in almost everything in this life my ocds (linked to my autism) have took over on my capacity to appreciate the hobby when i started i just wanted to get the books to read them but without surprise it quickly come to a great mistake about the condition, everytime I get new books I need to analyze them to be sure that they re satisfying to my eyes... and by evidence unfortunately plenty of my books still like in an "hesitation area" for weeks and weeks... without cannot take a decision if I'm OK with this freaking copy or if I want to get a better one... speaking about stupid books who worth a dollar or less, it's just a non sense, and put a lot of stress from something which was at the beginning a dream I cannot continue to act like that but I would never want to renounce to the hobby because I like to read comics and I like the original brand paper... so I thought to something... I think I'm not gonna be blamed for this considering that I m speaking of totally unvaluable books... what about removing the cover of all my books? Why not even make some custom tpb? And if I'm going into it I will be able to afford books that I would never have had the opportunity to buy with the cover... going to buy directly coverless or max 0.5 if I do not find a coverless. The few of my valuable books could be sold to replace them by a coverless copy. Man I have like a feeling... I'm tired of it, I want to appreciate it for the reason i started, forget all the problems... What do you think? Could it be a great mistake? Or a great decision? note: a day I said that I wanted to get all the comics published by dc... I know that It will never happen but at least i could be far more advanced on it with this way I always liked the sentence: "don't judge a book to his cover" I don't know if you use it in the US? J
  12. I know that i probably wrote a lot of sh*t but its just my view and Its ok if your not agree with me, I made it to understand how the things are.
  13. Well I wanted to share my reflexion as someone far of the business and even further of the Uncle Sam Country, when I started to collect I was only looking for modern/copper stuff... now over the years in slowly going to the silver books and I realize something... any books post 1960 seems to still totally unworthy if not in great condition, I mean any books which isn't a great keys worth less than 10$ if the condition is bad... and next seems to be very volatile, price are constantly making up and down, again and again... I have the feeling that the golden age books are the real comics who could be legit in terms of investment, for the popular characters, even the most random issues in bad condition never spawn on the market for less than 100$... other point, when we re going trough golden age you do not find anymore bundle of books, all of them are always sold individually because too valuable. What is your opinion? Do you have hope in later stuff or have you the same opinion than me? Thanks for your opinion.
  14. 58 dollars seems to be a good price for the condition... should i take?
  15. Nice description too: " good to very good" I mean some of these books could down from 50$ if they are good rather than very good...
  16. Literally 1 pic of the whole bunch and seller don't want to take the time to get few additional pics... by experience I could assure you that it's almost impossible to see the defect of a book presented In an overall picture and more of that put into a beautiful bright mylar bag... and I assume we re supposed to imagine how the back look like... Its definitely bad especially when I compare it to the poor guy who do his best to sell you a dollar bin book and take care of showing the books in every angles to show you every little spine stress... Would you buy book from this kind of guy? Personally I pass.
  17. No its from mill high, fortunately for my wallet its not me who have buy it from them ...To get back to the disscusion, as i know mill high are known to grade their books enough random... some times really higher some times really lower.
  18. Well im just looking trough ebay and everytime that any of these books are on auction at least someone place a bid if the price asked is well discounted
