Has any come across one of these before? It’s a pretty rare Golden Age with a double cover. Thoughts on how CGC would approach this? Is this considered a defect or an valuable feature?

Yes, this is worth having cleaned and pressed. By the first pic, it is clear that a press will help the eye appeal significantly. However, it will likely not help the grade much. If you're looking for the clean and press to improve the grade that it would otherwise be, it is not as clear-cut. I'd still recommend it though, as it is a semi-key and as such even a .5 increase in grade would make it worthwhile. That point aside, the improvement you'll see in eye appeal will be the real prize.

Any estimate what grade this would be?

Does anyone know how long comics typically stay in the Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging stage?

Gorgeous! Miswrap is sizable but they were mostly printed that way with this particular issue. 8.5-9.0

Incredible find! How did you get your hands on this? 4.0 IMO, assuming no issues with the interior or centerfold stapling.

This looks like a really nice book. The small piece out on the top left and lack of gloss seem like the biggest detractors. Really sharp edges help. I’m thinking 5.5.

Nice clean Bronze Age comic. Tiny Spine ticks are probably the setting factor. 8.0/8.5

Yeah, the staining probably sets the upper limit on this around a 4.0, though the lack of gloss, creases and other defects probably pull it down to 3.0-3.5

Considering there aren’t many color breaks this seems like a good candidate for a pressing imo

5.5 looks right.
