Just got my Esad Ribic Silver Surfer: Requiem #4, page 2 splash back from the framer. It turned out so incredible!

Interestingly enough, i didn't actually pay for my first page of OA. It was a gift for middle-manning a deal between two friends. A Herb Trimpe unpublished pin-up from GI Joe #1.

The first page i ever bought sucked in comparison...Avengers Spotlight #23 pg 4

Love the series, still to this day, but the page isn't so awesome compared the Joe pin-up. The nice thing about this page is that it taught me to be more selective when buying in this hobby and not go all out buying whatever and everything, which is how i approached other hobbies in my youth.

LOVE that Ribic X-Force frame job. Absolutely beautiful!

One of the covers i'd like the most is the cover to Avengers Spotlight #26, which kicks off Acts of Vengeance:

Any leads?

I would love to find the cover to GI Joe Special Missions #17 by Ron Wagner and Bob McLeod. Thought i had tracked it down but turns out the guy didn't have it afterall.

Just posted a couple new framed pieces up on CAF tonight. I'm really pleased with how they turned out:

The matte colour we picked for this one matches the colours on the cover perfectly.
As cool as that one is though, this next piece blows me away with how incredibly it turned out:

It's so big i don't actually have a place to hang it right now but i seriously love the colour tones we chose and how they match the published art so well. The layout is very western in feel and matches the feel of the story perfectly, IMO.

Nice frame job, Malvin! The colours you picked really set off the art!

They are now a part of art history. Have any of the comics artists ever expressed anything over than a flush of indirect fame? Any lawsuits?
Not against Lichtenstein but Erro, another hack following in his footsteps, got taken to task for his blatant theft of Bolland's work:

Those are some seriously killer frame jobs and pieces of art - and i don't even like DC! Kudos! Thanks for sharing!

I have to say that this is easily my favourite thread on this site. So many killer frame jobs and it just keeps coming. I've been patiently waiting until the time was right to get my art framed and it all came back last week and after having it on display at my show The Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show over the weekend, i decided to add it all to my CAF page today.
I too was inspired by some of the framing here but the colour core matte choices at my framer's was rather limited so i decided to use the same general idea but double matte them instead so i could better match the colours. I think the result is great and the matte cuts just scream comic panels to me.
Enjoy!

Added the cover to GI Joe: Special Missions #20 by Wagner and McLeod to my collection this week. Also added two impressive examples of GI Joe packaging art to my CAF"
