  1. To all the sellers who try to get around paying the Paypal fees, I want you to know that it's a huge turn off, and, while I hesitate to say "I'll never buy from you!!! :sumo:" so far I have refused to do so. For instance, there are some early Spideys for sale right now. I'd buy two if not all three of them if the seller would just handle his Paypal business better.

    You have two options:

    1. Eat the cost. It's a cost of doing business, so deal with it.

    2. Factor the fees into your asking price. Is that so hard to do?

When you ask me to pay your fees, or to send the money to you as a gift, thereby leaving me no recourse should the deal go south, you lose my business. I just thought people might be interested to know.

I'm not the only one, right?

 I ignore any seller who is too cheap to handle the fees.

    (thumbs u Every buyer should......

You are not alone. Lots of my money has remained in my pocket because of this very issue. I sell books on here from time to time and have never even considered asking for personal. It is my choice to use Paypal, therefore it is my responsibly to cover the fees. Regardless of how friendly everyone is with each other here, it is always a good thing to cover your rear end in any online transaction. As far as I am concerned Paypal should completely do away with the personal option and charge fees for any and all transactions they handle.

  3. A friend told me you had him on ignore, I asked how he could tell, and he said that if you try to send a PM, from one of the threads, it says you are on ignore. So, out of curiosity, I tried it.

Then, I figured if I was on ignore, I could not read the PM you sent to me...so I clicked on it. (Yes, Greggy, you were right, I was wrong)

I don't really understand the system because I've never had anyone on ignore.

However, to answer your PM... I certainly don't think that the majority of people here are psychotic. I do think perhaps 3 or 4 people have serious problems, and as I replied, if you have SO many people on ignore, perhaps there is a problem with your perception. I don't feel this way because I'm as naive as you seem to think, but because I actually have a great deal of experience, dealing with people, usually, in a positive manner.

I DO understand what ignore means...it's not my usual method of operation, however, to help you, I will not be answering any more PMs, until you give up the mime act.

Stewing over every post while you are on a forced "vacation" does not seem to be a healthy method of dealing with things. I really don't think that is what was intended when people are given a strike. Rather, it's a way to take a step back and cool off.

Mime acts, don't seem to be a good cooling off method either...but that's just my opinion, and since you have me on ignore, it's not necessary for you to read this.

I sincerely hope you decide to just take a small break and cool down.

"*** You are ignoring this user ***"

"Toggle the display of this post"

since I have joined these boards is RMA. RMA having you on ignore is his loss (thumbs u Maybe consider this a blessing

Yeah, same here. He is the only member I have ever had (and have) on ignore. As a result, I have purposely not commented on some of the other discussions around his sales thread antics but there is one line in that note from Sharon I can't ignore.

RMA's assertion that others on the forum may be psychotic is actually very chilling. If he truly feels that way, this suggests his problems run much deeper than mere immaturity.

    +1

We all have something in common........... whoo hoo........... :headbang:

  4. The entire print run was like this. It's also not the only book printed this way. There may be a small handful that don't have these tears, but it's not likely.

How does that even happen where the ENTIRE print run has that exact same defect of a few rips in the corner?

What was the print run for that book? I don't know a heck of a lot about printing but that just strikes me as a odd defect for the entire print run to have ???

Because, contrary to what some have said in this thread, it's not just the corner. The tears can be anywhere along the entire spine. Marvel was playing with their cover stock at that time (1991), and this is the result. A lot of Nam #52s have the same problem, though not to that degree.

People have been searching for a copy of this book for years without the flaw. As someone who bought them straight off the stand, with dozens of copies in my hand, I can tell you that every copy I have ever seen had it.

Something just didn't mesh correctly at Quebecor that week/month.

I read it just as you wrote it..I am not a mind reader, if you meant something else then you should have written something else.
