  1. Does anyone know if ComicKeys has "officially" posted on the CGC boards?

The search engine did not find anything but I never find it works all that well.

Court is still scheduled for next week.

3 days to DD-Day, yes? Is this still on?

Will cameras/video be allowed in the courtoom? Is there a courtroom or is it to be held in closed quarters?

The hearing is still on. Scheduled for this Wednesday at 2:30 pm at:

    Queens Family Court

    www.nycourts.gov

    151-02 Jamaica Ave

    Queens, New York 11432

    (718) 298-0197

    Case is Cuva-Primmer v. Dupcak.

I doubt cameras are permitted but I don't know the in-house rules for this specific courthouse.

As far as I am aware, this is an open court proceeding. I would encourage whomever can attend to do so. And by all means feel free to take pictures of Mr. Dupcak outside the courthouse!!!! (thumbs u

Thanks to everyone who sent me e-mails.

I wish you and Jan the best of luck, Mark (thumbs u

Any word yet or were the proceedings postponed?

  3. The consigned coins are one thing, but this one in particular boggles my mind:

Is it really possible that some geekazoid would pay this much money for this ugly hunk of junk?

I sold one about 10 years ago for $12,000 (and paid over 10K for it for my customer)...so yes, plenty of folks out there with money and a passion for collecting things they really like

I'm just saying, that is one UGLY statue.

You could buy a small Giacometti for that amount.

Yeah, but it's limited to 100 pieces, and collectors will roll their grandma for something limited to 100 pieces. :gossip:

:gossip: Most Giacometti's were limited to one piece...

  5. Dude, I used to do airbrushing for a...major rock and roll magazine... hm and it would stun you at what is done to cover up imperfections. Hell it's like digital plastic surgery.

I did a job on Fergie once that was incredible. That's one skanky ho before she's airbrushed. doh!

I believe I'd still have to hit it.

I promise you, man. My stomach is about as solid as they come, and I was getting physically ill looking at her.

Oh come on, she can't be THAT nasty?!? I gotta agree with Mike.

I don't make stuff like that up. Nas-tay!

To much Boom Boom Pow meh

I agree. All these young testosterone filled boys go running around town looking for an airbrushed barbie and when they finally find a nice girl their disappointed because she doesn't look like she was painted.

    Sad state of affairs.

I blame all the people who buy those paparazzi rags.

I'll take my blemishes, stretch marks and bruises straight like a real man.

    :sumo:

I'm with you. I live for stretch marks... :makepoint:

  7.

They were probably afraid CGC would go hard on the married centerfold, clipped coupon, and facsimile cover. GOD BLESS...

    ...and the rusty staples... doh!

I think the best it could be is a 9.0 assuming there are no other defects as jimjum12 mention. If I buy a book raw, I need to see, handle and smell it.

    ...and taste it !! :roflmao:

    hmlol

After tasting a number of comics, I can tell you, it's best to spit out the rusty staples.
