OG version of myself on the old boards from 2004, I have risen from the dead to play Fantasy Football and rejoin the CGC board masses, those of you who are in the CGC Forum Year 20 Fantasy Football League know I never left, 2004, that was the time of Hammer, Bugaboo, the PGX fiasco, lot of familiar names like Iron Manic who has remained a good friend, Alex, James Jobe, Scott Bonagofsky, I did some original art trading with Niko before he passed IIRC

    Memory lane I tell ya.

  2. Getting a letter from Mark, where he isn't working on your behalf, is akin to getting a letter of audit from the tax man, either way you better stock up on the KY and do some stretches because you are about to get.......

There are a few posters here who I read pretty much every post they make, either because they are entertaining or infomative, I always find Mark's to be both, as he always has the best interest of the hobby at heart. Rather then a Mickey Mouse Salem witch hunt, I wish more people would follow Mark's example before they sharpen the forks and heat the oil, and have facts and concrete eveidence before dragging someone through the mud. I'm not speaking about anyone or any specific incident just generally speaking about the headhunter mentality we all to often see on the boards.

  3. First up is a page from Hawkworld #30 page 9

Tim Truman did the page, purchased it from a friend, I liked it because it has swearing, a dude with a patch and Hawkman 27_laughing.gif

Second page I purchased from a CGC forumite in a private sale, big thanks goes out to Nikos The Great. It's another Tom Lyle page (surprise surprise) from Spider-Man #50 and features a nice splash of the Grim Hunter Vladimir Kravinoff, son of the great Kraven The Hunter

    Spider-Man%2050%20PG%201.jpg

Really pleased with these two additions as I love Lyle's pencils, I think this makes the 18th page of his I have.

I'm now on my quest to find a nice Thanos page, mainly from any of the Infinity books, If anyone is selling hit me up.

  4. Okay after a bit the 2nd piece is in. Mike Mayhew Daily Bugle Civil War ed. This is a pin up he did of MJ in a B movie(it appears near the middle of the newspaper). It is amazing in hand. The scan is pretty good though.

Speaking of Mayhew, I just loved his Mystique covers and was always partial to issue 16

    mystique16.jpg

So I had a commission done this week and I basically gave the artist creative control and set the guidelines that I wanted the piece to be sexy and killer in a femme fatale kind of way, maybe with some guns or knives or such. I got the final image today, it's on 11x14 as usual and should arrive in the mail Monday. Since it's not totally babe test legal I'll link it

    Don't Mess With Mystique

Let me just say from start to finish it took all of 4 days to pay, have a prelim emailed to me, then the final piece.

Some of you may know the artist, Greg Wornochak, based out of Montreal, Sore Thumb Graphics. I totally pimp his style and character, he's top notch in my book and we have already talked about another 2 pieces I want done.

He works on the cheap depending on the page, but the quality is worth way more, I only paid about $30 shipping included, if you are interested in getting something done, check him out here and please say Brockley sent you thumbsup2.gif

    Greg Wornochak About Me Page

    Mad Props to him.

I have another 4 pages on the way from Catskill that I'll post up soon.

  5. Why, because he doesn't back down when people call him names and he gives as good as he gets? Most of the people who argue with him can't string two coherent thoughts together and are nothing more than CGC haters who think that because collectors pay $50 for a modern in CGC 9.8, it is "all CGC's fault" that the entire comic industry will eventually come crashing down. Bug may be controversial, but he's one of the few people over on your board in the two sections I read (General Discussion and Professionally Graded Comics) who has the reasoning power beyond a third grade level. I don't spend as much time arguing with the CGC haters as he does, but I find them just as sophomoric. sign-rantpost.gif

There is a horrible liberal conspiracy going, of course, since that appears to be Marvelous/MMMmarvel/Bug's theory for everything, but we knew that. sign-rantpost.gif

most of my modding duties over on CPG are spent babysitting bugaboo, man that is a task in itself. 893frustrated.gif

I agree with you on almost everything, it's just that for Bug to get his point across he feels the need to call someone a name or say something in poor taste. If he kept all his replys within the forum rules on personal attacks and name calling, I wouldn't have the slightest problem with him,

His steadfast defense of CGC sometimes gets to the point where it's just comical to read. He can be funny sometimes in his frusteration of the "CGC Haters"

  6. How's the saying go...."Be careful what you wish for....it may come true"... insane.gif

I'm not wishing for anything, just answering the question in a candid way. I asked a few people how they got their titles, and it was "If you're in with Arch, just send him a PM".

As I'm obviously no t"in" with the Forum Brass, why bother?

so it's not what you know, it's who you know thumbsup2.gif
