Quick sketch Mr. Aragones drew me on a chance encounter. Didn't even ask him for one! Just talked for awhile about Groo, Mad and DC horror and he said "Got a piece of paper?". Glad I did! Great guy!

Nice! I was just checking out one of those Creepy archives at the local comic shop. What a tremendous score!

My comic shop was a little grocery store about a half hours drive away. The cool thing was that they wouldn't toss the books so I could find months of back issues on the rack since I only made it there once a month or so.
It wasn't until years later when on a trip to the closest city that I visited a real comic shop. It was called Perelandra and it was a tiny hole in the wall. Seemed like a monstrous cavern of awesome books to me. First time I ever saw an Amazing Fantasy 15. Just wish I had the $300 to buy it.

Amazing! I'm a flea market/estate sale fiend but have yet to hit anything that cool.
(Aside from a 1960's Spiderman poster I found hanging from a tree at a yard sale.)
Seems like the scores just aren't out there like they were when I started 10-15 years ago. Still, the hunt is half the fun!
Thanks for sharing the awesome goodness!

Hey, I had a Pizzazz subscription. Along with ASM, Daredevil and The Defenders. Only way to get em out in the sticks! Fold em in half and stick em in a brown wrapper. Sweet!

Sweet! I remember being mesmerized as a kid watching the original. Hid in the theater to watch it twice! I'll be watching on the big screen for sure but don't think it's as easy to hide for a free second viewing. Still, might have to try.

Recently re-read Walden and have now started on Brave New World, Sort of an Orwellian 1984 tribute.

One I'll always remember was a huge orange t-rex with glow in the dark teeth & eyes. I think it was a snap-tight model kit. The battles between it, GI Joe and the Space 1999 ship were epic!

Always had a soft spot for Marvel Team-Up 117.
