No problems here, smooth transaction, fast pay, would highly recommend.

Yes 84 is very tough in high grade.
Nothing like Stan Lee's name scribbled across the cover...
At least its signed in about the best possible place. Plus with this being the only 9.2 and only 3 higher, Roy's options were limited.

Very nice.
Isn't that just before they began displaying the pretty Thor picture in the corner?
I call him "Happy" Thor. Starts issue 91.

Pacific Coast Copy of for grabs in CLINK June auction!
This used to be my copy, and since I sold it it's been reholdered and pressed. The very minute changes to the two right side corners are the giveaway that the comic has been pressed. I'm happy to say that the buyer who cracked/pressed and resubbed the book is taking a bath, having paid over 3 grand for it.
It has a teeny rub along the spine that keeps it from a higher grade, but is a really sweet copy.
I think your JIM #83 was re-sold at a decent loss. I still kick myself for not buying the lowest graded of your lot; the JIM #89 @ 8.0.

Bunch of raw keepers I got graded mainly for resto check so no surprises in the future.
Marvel Spotlight 5 8.5 W ; expected 8.0
Journey Into Mystery 109 8.0 W ; expected 8.0
Journey Into Mystery 118 9.2 OW/W ; no clue; bought as "hi-grade" on ebay for $150, go figure
Journey Into Mystery 120 8.5 OW/W ; expected 8.5
Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos 13 7.5 OW/W ; expected 8.5 but perfectly centered and looks great so no regrets.
Tales of Suspense 58 8.0 OW/W ; was a PGX 7.5

JIM 83 8.5, white; small amt of color touch and glue on spine.
This is not my sale and just here for discussion purposes.
But lets say you were putting together a high grade run. This book seems to have the least amount of resto your going to find.
What do you think of this book in the run for a fraction of the price?

Nice packaging, fast shipping, as advertised. Thanks!

A couple more additions that just rolled in. Ebay's been good to me over the last week for JIMs.
Grats, I found a nicely centered #100 hard to find in this grade range and ended up spending more than I wanted to on a 8.5.

Awesome run! And High Grade too. That 83 looks VF. And you can open and read these if you want to!
What's fun about reading the early JIM's is the "mystery" backup stories you don't get to see in the Marvel Masterworks.

nice..that 83 looks like a nice 6.5
Thanks all; only run I own. I have a nice silver age/mostly Kirby run of Thor thru issue #181.
The 83 was a slabbed 6.0; one grader gave it a 6.5. They didn't like that pen mark between the "E" and "R". There is also a fugly 1/2 inch tear on the edge of the back cover.
For the most part the run is 6.0/6.5 to 9.0 getting better as the run progresses.

You might be interested in seeing the cover as originally inked back in 1965.

Deslabbed 6.0 OWW
Fantastic Four from Fox Studios (8/7/15)

I can only think that Marvel/Disney is laughing that Fox is doing everything it can to kill these movies. At some point, releasing a new pile of turd every few years just to keep the rights will, eventually, not be worth it, and Disney/Marvel can return them to the fold.
