Cal keeps his IMSM 1s in a vault made out of IMSM 1s.

 

Cal doesn't read IMSM 1. When nearby, IMSM 1s lay back and spread for his viewing pleasure.

That is funny and a little weird at the same time. I got a very strange image of IMSM1's laying back and spreading in my mind.

Cal's a great buyer and seller. Dealt with him both here and ebay.

Wow, I wish random issues of Jungle Comics, or any fiction house book, would just show up in the mail.

Great book

As some of you may recall, I recently had a break-in at my home and 38 cgc comics were stolen. Anything that can help with the recovery of my books, or the books of anyone who is unfortunate enough to suffer the same loss, is a great idea.

David has already been kind enough to add one of my books (Silver Surfer #4) to his site and I am very impressed with the effort. Hopefully, we will be able to add the rest of the books soon.

If they're removed from the cgc case, it will obviously be more difficult to identify them but many did have unique "characters" that would make stand out.

# 4 is my favourite. Those are stunning cgc 9.4 and 9.6 copies I can only dream about.

I just sold my #4 to help pay for other purchases. I'm sure I'll regret it.

I agree. Interesting article. The editorial does seem a little biased. I can't imagine too many three year olds being capable of buying the specific sordid comic dad wanted. When my kids were three they probably would have just swallowed the dime.

After topping out around 45,000 (I read every one of them) in 2005 I spent the last 4 years thinning my collection down to around 3,000. I had converted my attached garage to a climate controlled comic storage area. Since reducing my collection, my house seems bigger.

For me it's Thor and Silver Surfer. SS#4 is my dream cover.
