Who did the cover - doesn't seem to be Heath, Everett, Maneely or Severin. Girls face reminds me of a little of Wolverton. Anyway nice pick-up.

Great cover, don't see that one very often.

Great sets - dizzy dames hard to put together.

The Marvel photo covers of the 1949-50 are a set I've mostly completed. To go along with theme here the first in a fun set and a link to a blog were I have the rest of the set and a few notes. Ultimately I'll make the effort and put all the photo covers together for a group shot.

Thanks, Ive enjoyed the esoteric group shots you've been putting up. One of my all time favorites, I acquired a few months ago. It took me a few hours to set up the scanner and get images via picasa to post.
Great book! Glad to see another oddball collector. The blog looks promising.
Thanks, the entry is a tribute to Louise Altson who painted covers for Timely/Marvel in the late forties. She died a few weeks ago at the age of 99. I'll try to put together a group shot of these... http://obscurecomics.blogspot.com/
