Great looking copy bud, welcome to the club.
-
Thx bud, hope you get your copy soon!

Very nice 4.0. I just purchased a 4.0, but it has marvel chipping. However, I thought I better get myself a copy before it's too late. When I upgrage next year, I will be looking for a copy w/o the chipping.

, I noticed your signature, that is why I mentioned I am also
searching for ASM 11 in 9.0. If I can't find 11 this year
I guess a #13 will do.

Thanks for the comment! I am also looking for ASM #11 in 9.0....think this will be a tough one to find. I have only seen one for auction/sale in the last 2 years.

Thanks Shark. I was on the boards quickly at noon today and noticed the scam. I appreciate your followup!

Did anyone on the boards scoop up the ASM # 28 CGC 9.2 in the August CLink auction? I am currently overseas and got the time zones mixed up to put in my bid .

Hi There,
Thanks for the response! I am working on the ASM run #2-50 at 9.0 - 9.2. ASM # 1 and AF 15 at 7.0 - 8.0 due to the obvious cost constraints.
In my collection, I just started Jan 2010, I have acquired the following:
#2 9.0
#3 9.0
#4 9.0
#6 9.0
#10 9.0
I am planning to add 5, 7, 8, and 9 @ 9.0 to my collection this year .

What does PITA represent?

Hey ASM fans! I was reading ASM #1 today and noticed that Peter Parker is referenced as Peter Palmer? Typo? Has anyone else noticed this?
-
That book looks very familar, I recall bidding on it in through CLINK in the spring of this year. It was not an auction just a regular sell. I remember how nice this book looked! It is par to the 9.0 sold in the comic connect auction last month.

I have to admit, the kingpin covers are just awesome! They really catch my eye. Great purchase!

That is a great Suscha News Collection copy! I really like the story behind the collection that was recently sold on Comic Connect. By the way, who was the lucky collector who nabbed the ASM #14 9.0 White pages? I had my eye on the book.

I have to agree on all your comments!!! Thankyou so much for the feedback. Historically, I found this a difficult book to find in this grade and I lost out on a auction a couple of months ago. When this 9.0 beauty appeared, I said this one is not going to get away from me.
I concur this this 4 panel cover is very creative and appealing to the eyes. I have to admit that #3 is my favorite cover for ASM.
Happy collecting and I hope you find your treasures .

You are correct. Sorry, I got confused with the auction rules of pedigree comics. Oh well, knowledge gained for the next auction . There will be another ASM #2 9.0.
-
Yes, I know what you mean. I had the highest bid on #2 ASM 9.0. I watched the bid pretty closely when it re-opened and no other bids were made. Then at the last second some one increased the bid by $100. I am bit frustrated, as CLINK policy is to extend the bidding time for a couple minutes to allow bidders to increase the bid, otherwise, someone can nab the book at the last minute just like on Ebay. This did not happen and now I am out on the ASM #2 9.0 White paged beauty. Oh well, I still managed to get ASM #4 9.0.

Does anyone have any history in purchasing from the ebay seller, collector_comics? I noticed the seller always sells raw silver age marvels, especially ASM. I am curious if this is another cdpaoli, makemeanofferandwin, lexerific, etc scam where they purchase restored cgc books, crack em open and sell them as unrestored.
