Yes the shop is in Brooklyn.  I just found out what shop.  I can walk on over there if I wanted at some point this week. lol   I don't know if they would knowingly pass switched books through their store so I am hoping if books DID go through their door that the store owners were duped.

I was originally worried that it was Royal Collectables on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills as they are a store that would carry higher end books and are located close enough to Brooklyn that many of my Brooklyn comic collector friends shop there.   Glad to see that they have nothing to do with anything involved in this.

What store was it? There's only a handful in Brooklyn then again I really only go to Galaxy Comics and St. Marks Comics and I know both wouldn't have any expensive books in general.

  2. I feel this just all comes down to poor training and oversight from the associates and all the way up to supervisors and upper management. The lack of care put into the whole process leaves the whole system easy to exploit. This has nothing to do with their Marketing and PR team which does an excellent job pushing the brand. It's looking like what goes on behind the scenes is far more sinister.

Most noticeable characteristics to ascertain exact match, same wrap, same spine ticks, particularly by Wolvie's forearm, there is a diagonal crease that travels from the spine in a diagonally downward direction by the fist area, vertifical colour break running just above the D in Incredible to the MCG banner, crimped top right corner with diagonal colour break. Red pen mark (resembling a cursive handwritten m) on back cover.

That tick by Wolvie's right claw is a dead giveaway this was a swap. Sheesh it gets worse by the day. I am thinking of switching over to raws now that slabs clearly cannot be trusted.

Thanks for this. Like others have said the 4 day difference is eye opening. Just what's going in behind the scenes at the cgc?
