How did cgc decide that this back cover actually came from a tec 27? None of the front cover is visible. Was this the back cover you owned at one point @Wayne-Tec? Anyone know the story behind this?
This is a legit low grade Tec 27 once sold on HA as a CGC complete universal on a low grade blue. Very distinctive damage on back cover
Very sad to see this book's back cover was detached and the book probably restored. I'll try to add a picture from the HA auction soon. It's over 20 years ago.

I've owned
Three 31's only two at the same time. Only one now, 5.0, owned it for 13 years. (Thanks GAtor)
Three 35's and still two (only is coverless) other is 2.5, 13 years. Never have had the right time to upgrade. But might not need too.
Two 36's one 2.0 (A) restored sold and currently a 4.0 which is my vault copy since 2014.
Tec 37 three copies, bought my vault copy in 2009 purchase of a 2.5 on the boards. I had a 3.0 but the colors were not as pretty sold.
3 Tec 32's , 1 now 5.0 since 2012 Boards
2 Tec 34's, 1 now 4.5 since 2012 eBay
1 Tec 28 coverless (boards)
1 Tec 30 sold (regret) in 2010
I have never owned a 27 or a 29.............

Awesome picture! Wow!
Sadly with one minute left I submitted my max bid which was over double the then current bid. And I lost out in the last 10 seconds to someone else. Astonishing. I thought I had won all the way until the page refreshed once the auction was complete. Jumped over 6 figures in final 10 seconds to beat out my max bid. My nerves were fried.
I’m still hunting.

I’ve got an AC12
And I’m going all in on that Tec 27 to complete my run.

Without seeing it….but, generally, if it was just the covers fully split and detached, that would still be a Fair. If the wraps are also fully split, then that’s in the Poor category for me.
Agreed

You may want to check out this thread. It evolved into a lot of discussion debating the merits of downsizing.

Well, I'm still upshifting, but I'd say you've left a very enviable core collection!
p.s. Detective 31, 35 and Action 7 (swoon)
Upshifting was my way for 25 years.

Thanks guys!
I’m trying to remember any regrets I’ve had over the years. Only ones I can remember I sold that I now will never see again are Tec 38 and MF 73. Those burn.
Also had a chance to buy Cap 1 - 15 years ago for 10K. Didn’t do it, giant mistake.

Hello fellow boardies,
I have not posted in a long time and wanted to share this.
After 25 years of collecting.
A lot of changes occurred over this last year, including a move for when I finally decided to sell off the majority of my comic collection. I sold over 4,000 comics, majority of which were collected from the 90’s-10’s new off the rack, and 80’s back issues. Hundreds of which were golden age and silver age mostly raw. I sold most in a bulk sale to one long standing collector/dealer who made the process very easy for me and it worked out for both of us well.
Anyway, I kept the favs/best, from over the years and all I have is roughly 30 left including some raw not pictured. I’ve realized that I will most likely never part with my Pre Robin run and my AF15 filler, that due to price increases, has become my permanent copy. And my sole Action comic, #7!
Has anyone else gone through a downshift in size from your collection over the years / decades?
Pictured is the final entirety of my CGC books.

Looks like Metro just listed a Tec 31 5.0 and a Tec 33 8.0
Meanwhile the blue label 33, 2.5 looks to have poofed.
-J.
Might be transferred to the next CC even auction
Or maybe a boardie bought it
Reveal yourself
Now, that's just being smart by buying at the right time........picking up a book when it's out of favor, as opposed to chasing it when it's red hot and the current flavor of the month.
Congrats and well done!!!
+1
Lower grade 33's almost never come up, and it was especially smart grabbing it before that 6.5 on C-link offically goes on the block.

awesome buy Gotham kid!!!!
