  1. That Savage Tales 1 CGC Q 9.8 is just stunning!

Green Label or not, I'd cherish that book.

I was thinking the same thing, it's a real shame CGC decided to give it a green label because it has a unverified sig.

Can't you still get Blue Label for unverified sigs but the signature is just counted as a defect against the grade instead?

  2. As far as the blurry blue sig there, that is actually the "Eastman ''88" sig he used on the original piece. And having seen the original painted cover for that issue, I can say that that "canvas" piece is 100% identical to the original painted piece. So I tend to think that if Kevin were recreating this cover on canvas that it would be at least a little different, if not intentionally that probably by accident. It wouldn't surprise me if someone used a cover proof to create this and that Kevin had 0 influence on its creation.

I second that. It looks too precise to be painted..

  3. Here are a couple of one of a kind items in my comic room. The first pic is the original artwork from the movie poster used for the 1972 rerelease of "The Song of the South". The second is a stained glass window I commissioned of Brer Fox and Flower for the door in my comic room that opens onto the upstairs balcony. Not having opposable thumbs, I had to get The MAN to help me install the stained glass window.

    very nice stained glass!!

  4. No problem!

Sometimes the Heavy Metal booth will be packed with a line that will get capped (no more new people in line), other times I've caught him just standing there with no people there. Luck of the draw, I guess.

Kevin and Heavy Metal wont be at NYCC this year due to scheduling conflicts.. My friend emailed Kevin and he confirmed this.

  5. please just make sure you wear some deodorant and some clean clothes...

every time i go to some kind of comic / video game / hobby convention - i feel like i will pass out.

Anyone know if Heavy Metal/Kevin Eastman will be making an appearance at the New York Comic Con?

I bought my tickets a few weeks ago just to see him + get autographs. I've never been to a comic con before (as a buyer or fan), so I feel kind of weird going there for just that one reason (makes me feel like a stalker).

If he's not there - that will surely ruin my day/weekend.

yes, stinky people are no fun, it is a tad overwhelming, I went for all 3 days last year and realized that I only need one to accomplish all I wanted. Take in some screenings and events..

  6. This is my first post here. Thanks everyone for all the info in this thread.

Can anyone tell me how much they think this is worth?

TMNT 1 1st print signed sketched

Hard to tell what grade it is.. While TMNT #1 are hard to find and yes, you can get them autographed, considering that the autographs are from 2006, it isn't as rare as if someone had it signed when it first came out when Laird and Eastman were still together.. I wouldn't pay that much for it.. especially without a grade..
