So on both $2.29 price variants,the inside cover price States $1.99 US. And the deluxe edition books had a more glossy slick pages and the regular edition had the normal newspaper style pages. As can be seen in maximum security #1 of 3.

I didn't see anywhere it says deluxe like the regular x-men deluxe books. And the the inside states sold for $1.99 us and $2.99 Canada.

Everyone says there is no $2.99 price variant from October of 1999- February of 2000. I have a Bishop #1 from October of 99' that is $2.99 newsstand price variant. It's beat up but it's not a complete loss by any means. Found it in the back of a book store for a $1.
