Might be able to boost grade with a dry cleaning and press.

    Thank you for the recommendation!

I have checked the prices and unfortunately the cost for pressing and cleaning will not be covered by the increase of the book price. Moreover living in Eastern Europe sets some limitations for the comics collectors which have to pay a very high postage costs :$

  2. I am currently reading it and it is quickly become one of my favorite series - great art and very interesting scenarios. The characters are very well developed and I really like the idea of a Batman like a background figure. The focus is on the Gotham cops, not on the Caped Crusader and the villains.

I have find a lot of similarities to the "The Wire" which is my favorite TV series.

    Highly recommended!

  3. After several years hiatus and 2 children I am back to the hobby :)

I have reduced my collection from 4 000 to around 500 and I will try to obtain some new books, but in order not to disturb the family budget I want to sell some of the more expensive ones for which I do not care any more.

The problem is that I am not a professional grader and that is why I would need your help before listing it in eBay UK. I do not want to mislead the prospective buyer. Any help will be highly appreciated!

The main problems which I see are: 1) the book is not centered and some of the pages are trimmed almost to the panels (there is no white spaces at the age of the page) and 2) the book is a little creased on the bottom right corner (cover and pages). The pages are creamy (not white, but not brown either).

    Thank you in advance! (thumbsu

  4. Hi everybody :hi:

Doed anybody collect Comics Interview magazines? I know that there are 250 issues, but I do not know if they will be interesting to read today. Just have made a little search in Internet and find some scaned issues, but really can not make a conclusion from them. In fact the material in them look a little out of date.

Sorry if my question is not very clear ???

  5. Anyone what the first Neil Adams Batgirl is - interior art and not just a cover (if indeed he did one) ?

Would have to be bronze age I assume since her first appearance was late SA.

    Thanks.

PP14 from WF #176. It's a really stupid story even by SA standards and Batgirl is only in about 2-3 pages throughout the book.

I am surprised that her back had not been broken after this "catch" on his knee doh!

wdb23 did some very fine work a few years back with fantasy Doctor Strange covers. Given the high quality of Ditko's work, it does make you wonder what might have been achieved had Ditko received the marketing, renumeration and recognition he wanted.

Great idea and terrific execution (worship)

  7. The weekend was lost for reading with a whirlwind trip in & out of Miami & then a house full of guests yesterday.

So, tonight I'll get back to it with the first pages of The Master & Margarita.

    Great book. :applause:

This book is in my top 10. Unfortunately I am afraid that it will not be the same to read it translated in English. Also there are a lot of "inside jokes" that only somebody which has lived in Eastern Europe could understand (shrug)

Anyway great book and congratulations for the choise!

Although I read it in English and still thought it was a great book? :baiting:

  9. can't imagine how difficult it must be to try to find these books thousands of miles away. But I salute you on your perseverence.

Ok - this is the ask GAtor thread, so.....GAtor:

If Train A is headed WSW @ 50 mph and Train B is headed ENE at 52 mph directly at Train A......................................

when are you going to post a sick GA thread like you did about 18 months ago :cloud9:

unfortunately for me, I have sold about 70% of the books I had accumulated...my inventory is all but drastically depleted, so no sales threads any time soon...

    Hi Gator,

Just curious. Why you sell 3/4 of your books without re-stock? Are you afraid that their price will go down and you will loose money or there is a different reason? (shrug)

    Thanks in advance! (thumbs u

because prises have risen so much in the past few months (most unexplainably), that books I would like to "restock" are either not available or are selling for prices considerably higher than I just sold for, and I believe many of the prices to be inflated, so I will wait for market to settle (thumbs u

    Thanks for the quick response!

  11. It doesn't look like it from the pic. The room I'm planning on putting it in gets no natural sunlight at all and only even has a lamp on for like an hour a day about. Unless I am in there messing with my books, it's almost completely dark.

How could anyone see it then? Or the key word is "almost"... :gossip:

If I have to be serious. Great book and totaly deresves to be displeyed and enjoyed (thumbs u
