  1. no he was a quiet collector, oldschool. his entire collection has been in storage for at least 25 years. he stopped buying them in the year 2000 roughly. got tired of the prices going up. every month he would get a bundle of 40 or so comics from the local shop. and pick them up. most of the newer stuff isnt worth much minus key issues but im sure people still look for high grade versions of them. ill check out that section, thanks for the tips. so far ive only been putting in a handful of hours a week sorting, bagging and inventory. gonna take a while to get this squared away so i know exactly whats there. first i want to deal with bats 1 though.
  2. thanks for the help so far guys. im still trying to inventory this collection, its been quite the ongoing project. he has a good chunk of golden age comics, also im convinced almost every comic made from the late 60s up to when he stopped collecting in 2000. there are thousands. other then the really old stuff im sure he was wheeling and dealing, he bought new. every comic he has is in new condition. high 9s id say all day. his 2nd crown jewel was he was a big spiderman fan. he has the entire first series, every book so far i can tell. and any book i think past #40ish? is brand new. my end game is to eventually sell the collection, and maybe start a small collection for myself but pass most of them onto the people who can enjoy them for what they are.
  3. new here, first post going right for the jugular a family member passed away and ive been taking care of his massive comic collection. this is the crown jewel of his collection. i believe he purchased it 2nd hand sometime in the 1970s - 1980s? other then that i have no other information on it. it would be nice to see roughly where this would sit. ive been building the courage to ship it to get pressed and graded but its nerve racking to send something like this out haha.
