  1. Some results from my first MCS auction which ended last night.

    WD #1 CGC 9.0 - $1100.00

    Batman Adventures # 12 CGC 9.8 - $296.00

    Sixth Gun # 1 CGC 9.8 $270.00

    Peter Panzerfaust # 1 CGC 9.6 - $ 433.00

    Saga # 1 CGC 9.8 - $155.00

    Thief of Thieves # 1 CGC 9.8 - $96.00

Results all over the place but not paying more than cover for any of them its hard not to be happy.

ToT1 at $96.....what?!?!?! Thats $180+ on eBay all day long!

  2. One last thing, it is our understanding that the initial print run of The Walking Dead #1 had the colors for the "MATURE READERS" warning printed in the wrong sequence so that the black lettering was printed on top of the white, which disappeared. This was noticed and corrected so the black lettering on subsequent issues adds some shadow/depth to the white letters. Sources indicate that there are around 4,000 issues with the black lettering with the rest white, hence the white is rarer (although more white variants seem to come to market).

The black lettered issues were printed first hence could be viewed as the first print with the white as the second print; the black lettered variant could also be viewed as an error variant of sorts. All the ink is there on both issues and CGC don't differentiate between the two variants (they probably didn't spot the difference until many were graded i.e. too late) so this is probably just a storm in a teacup.

  3.

Recently charged a $5.00 handling fee for dropping off a book in person. After picking

up the book ask for grader notes and told a $10.00 fee applied. This company is

    only concerned about money.

CGC charges $10 for graders notes? Really?

    Yup

$5 for Economy, Value and Modern books.

    Still ridiculous.
