AS some have seen on the boards, I have had an attraction for the works of Gus Ricca who was Harry A Chesler's key creative artist. He created some of the most classic covers of the forties. I feel this was the true beginning of pre-code horror before EC. Today I had a visit to the small town in Jersey Harry helped to develop with his comic fortune. Including a visit to his shop he used as a base besides his New York offices, Chesler Lake and some of the homes along the roads named after him. Harry was the pillar of this town where he started a business and gave jobs to some of the greats ,like Kubert,Tuska, and Infantino. His books are still saught after 70 years later for the wild and shocking content. That would make a pretty neat table top but i would worry about beer stains ruining the finish
