I haven't found a list of exclusives for the con unfortunately. The print I'm referring to was supposed to be released two years ago, but then the Covid madness kicked in. Jay Fotos, the colorist of Locke & Key, recently posted in a Locke & Key forum that the print will be available this year at the con.

Hi, are there any fellow boardies who are willing to help out getting the con exclusive Locke & Key Phoenix Key print? cheers

With the recently announced postponement it's still have a year away (hopefully we've been able to leave these crazy times behind us in good health by then) but putting my request out already  Are there any fellow boardies attending the con and willing to help me out with a con exclusive item?

It's almost as if this thread is dead ....anyone out there still collecting the series as that is certainly not dead!! Noticed an add from a gallery in San Diego announcing an exhibition with Gabriel Rodriguez' work. The add also announces a special edition of the upcoming one shot Small World. A nice exclusive version of Alpha & Omega HC will be available this weekend at Wondercon. The art portfolio will premier there as well

The editor, Chris Ryall, just posted on his Tumblr that Alpha #2 will be out December 18 in all it's covers and iterations. It'll be printed in Korea, so hopefully that means they're returning to the nice cardboard glossy covers for this final issue like the first issues in the series.

So, anyone here on the board that's going to try to get each of the 20 different Alpha #1 retailer variants?

 

I wouldn't mind paying a slight premium for them as a set.

 

Same here. Already asked Chris Ryall from IDW if there'll be a boxset. I really don't want to contact 17 different comic shops and try to get a copy of each, but if that's what it takes then that's what it takes....Just wanted to know if I'm the only 'nut' here. I've got each & every edition/variant of the Locke & Key comics so can't stop now the end is near.

 

I am missing a couple of the signed variants but otherwise have one or more of each variant as well. I just picked up the Omega 5 variant at a LCS yesterday.

The publisher (Chris Ryall) informed me that there will be no boxset so I guess I need to contact each of the 17 shops and try to get their particular variant. Anyone care to join me in this quest? I don't mind all the work involved & it makes no difference if it's for one or more copies....however, in order to keep shippingcosts to a minimum I need a US shipping address.

Looks like IDW and retailers are trying to make the most of the end of Locke & Key. New variants galore shown here: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/09/05/cover-variance-all-the-retailer-covers-for-locke-key-alpha-1/. Variant-itis is one reason I stopped collecting The Walking Dead.

You've got to be kidding me!!! Can't believe that there'll be so many variants of Alpha #1. It'll cost a fortune to obtain one of each. I think it's odd that these covers only show up just a couple of days before the release date, there hasn't been mention of any retailer exclusives in the IDW comic solicitations contrary to Alpha #2

Anybody know (or care) what happened to the L & K Grindhouse 1:25 RI variant? Haven't seen any for sale yet.

Well, whatever the "secret" about Locke & Key is, it looks like Joe Hill got the go-ahead to talk about it during his L & K panel at SDCC on Saturday. He also said that there will be an announcement through "official channels" tomorrow I can't wait to find out what it is!

I have the feeling it'll have something to do with the pilot of the tv-series like a release on DVD of the pilot. we'll know it in a bit.

Once again Jonesy helped me by getting some WonderCon exclusives without charging a premium ! On top of that some con goodies were included as a nice surprise.

I posted a request on the SDCC 2011 forum asking if someone was willing to help me obtain a copy of the SDCC exclusive Locke & Key vol.4 hardcover

Jonesy sent me a PM offering his help, and actually managed to get me a signed & personalised copy as well as a signed copy of Clockworks #1 !!!!!!

On top of that, I was surprised to find a bunch of the SDCC giveaway temporary tattoos in the package as well.

I'm so glad Eric was willing to help out without asking a ridiculous premium. He didn't even ask for a payment in advance even though he purchased a personalised copy for a guy he has never met who lives on the other side of the Atlantic (The Netherlands), now that´s putting your trust in people (thumbs u
