  1. TALOS - U.S. military is on its way to getting its Iron Man The military's suit will be made of liquid armor that can solidify on command. Fitted with the protective gear -- the Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit, or TALOS -- troops would be more lethal and better protected, particularly the vulnerable first soldier to breach a compound. An amalgam of academics, defense industry types and Pentagon personnel are trying to fine-tune the battery-powered exoskeleton, which would reduce strain on the body, provide superior ballistic protection and in-helmet technologies to boost communications and visibility.
  2. I'd like to know how a bunch of slow moving zombies who can be lured into a pit with a noisemaker and evidently have craniums made of cardboard can suddenly pose a threat to organized society.
  3. Personally, I love how they weren't technically proficient enough to actually fit their chosen font for the Serial Number and Designation into the box they created. Cutting off parts of letters gives it that homespun, Midwestern, made-by-hand feel. They should have worked the word "Artisanal" into the company name. I love how they go beyond the technical aspects of grading and document how they feel about the book. "Overall a very nice comic with very attractive red and yellow foil cover."
  4. There's so much wrong here, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

  6. Thanks for posting that...that was great. I listened to the whole thing. I don't think I've ever heard anything from his first band before.

  9. I don't know. If they went with the original story, it would seem played out as we have already seen/read it twice before. If they go with the Before Watchmen stuff it could be good but in the end you still know where it is going to end up so it would not be very satisfying. To me anyways. I was thinking they could create new material within the Before era. They'd have a lot of freedom and space. Agreed. It still leaves what we know is inevitably to come. It is hard for me to become invested because of that. True. I'm just hungry for a "good" comic book-based TV series. I'm either bored or insulted with the current lot. Off topic...but I saw the first two episodes of Limitless and liked it. Made me laugh a few times too. Lots of potential with comic book series. You did see Daredevil right? I can't remember. Yes...loved it. So...studio exec gives you a wad of cash and wants you to develop a hit adult tv series based on a comic book...what source material do you use?

  12. I would love to see this... HBO Watchmen Series
  13. Yeah, you're right. In the comments, someone asked about Part 2 of some story promised in issue #4 which hasn't been published yet. Here's the TOC. Looks like the price guide is only 54 pages long.
  14. So far, I don't see a connection between the two companies. $7.99 an issue. Looks like it's published quarterly. I'm curious as to what kind of a price guide could be contained within the few pages of a magazine.
  15. Have you guys seen this? The logos are very similar.
  16. It's even slower than usual for me today. Lots of 10 second delays.
  17. Yeah, Syd's mental health issues allowed Waters to "shine." How they ever made the transition from flash-in-the-pan Psychedelic Space Rock to what they eventually became is beyond me. Of course, despite all of PF's criticisms of the music industry (songs like "Welcome to the Machine") they were nurtured and allowed to grow.
