  1. You're making me want a pumpkin beer. I think the same thing happened last year at this time.
  2. Wow. I never seen Batman footage so clear before.
  3. Ditch's zombie chicken and panty chicken are awesome but I had me a bowl of this morning. You need to watch that movie "Fed Up" ASAP.
  4. Organic...? Isn't it funny that people obsess over that term, and it doesn't even have a specific meaning? I find myself surrounded by people who eat tons of bad stuff and then go to Whole Foods or whatever and pay ridiculous prices for "Organic Free Range Blahdiblah...", as if this makes up for it. But yeah...according to my Organic Chemistry classes...it's definitely organic. Ha. Ha ha. Smartass. Organic = not grown with chemical pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, growth accelerants, free of genetically modified organisms, etc. In other words, natural foods, grown naturally, the way they were created. And you are correct, eating processed, chemical laden garbage is not "evened out" by eating organic. I was just bustin' your chops. But I tell you what, I would love to be able to find fresh, real food like that in the stores. Unfortunately, much of what is sold as "organic" at massively higher prices doesn't qualify for various reasons. The really sad part, is people have forgotten what fresh real food tastes like. Just one example; home-grown, vine-ripened tomatoes. If you've ever had one, you can't go back to store-bought...you are completely ruined. I do try to support the local farmer's markets. It's much fresher, and usually has a better chance of having less of the stuff you mentioned going on. The prices are very reasonable, and it's a great way to spend a weekend morning.
  5. I'll get the recipe up soon. I think I'll also post it over on Chow to confuse the boardies there. I think my last post was on "how to peal a banana." Weird place...you can cuss like a sailer...but mention comic books and ...poofage ensues.

  7. Didn't feel like driving to the grocery store, so I raided the pantry for tonight's dinner. So good. Ditch's Pantry Raid Chicken Low calorie, low fat, low carb, low sodium, no processed food, no added sugar, ~$3/serving, 30 minutes to plate.
  8. Was that really posted in the thread? If he doesn't actually send the comics, who cares how many sweet manila envelopes he has? He could at least have the decency to send a German newspaper like everyone else. Friggin' slackers.
  9. Boards are dead today. But the Journals are hoppin'.
  10. Loved this movie. The effects were amazing. I'm not usually a fan of Tom Cruise (mainly because I think he's an insufficiently_thoughtful_person off-screen), but he was excellent.
  11. I was just looking for any info on TTA in SBM, but can't seem to find anything. I think that thread was post-Shellhead.
  12. I love Near Dark. I try to watch it once a year, along with Lost Boys. Speaking of which... These all ended on the cutting room floor. Check out the first scene with all the comic books on the bed.
  13. I'm stealing this from Gyro-1 . Great interview. I particularly enjoyed the discussion about "Near Dark," which was a game-changer for the vampire mega-industry.
  14. Well, except for the leather bracelets. Wristband. You and Bill don't know what you're missing.
  15. The Walking Lasagna? Night of the Living Rigatoni?
