It's becoming a problem for buyers as well. I was so busy with vacation I did not have time to even put a bid in. I would not have passed on that book for less than 45K. Unfortunately, that's the breaks. I feel bad for the owner. Its seems that a sprinkling of seeds with a few dealers might be the way to go before you actually turn it over to one of the houses. I have both good and bad experiences with selling and I am learning. Selling books is about good timing.

No reason not to have a reserve on mega high grade books,

Hard to phantom action figures drying up. Wal-mart my have cut into your

sales.

That copy has been bumped. Originally it was a 6.5....

 

It actually looks really nice. The back cover might be keeping it low, but the front cover looks like a 7.5/ 8.0 to me

X-men 1 in 9.0 and 9.2 prices have doubled over the last couple years even with more high grade copies added to the census including two 9.8's

Semi and non keys will probably fall in silver age and definitely bronze age.

well, big spread between 100K and 10K.... thats a crash to me.

 

9.4s are selling for $25k+. I don't see $10k for a 9.6 happening in this reality. Maybe world war and the end of the dollar as a currency, but not much else.

Next fall I would be surprised if these prices don't go south.
