  1. ... or just save them for the future. If you are using them already for submissions and plan on using them again, then just keep them in a safe place and use them as needed like you would keep a spare pack of comic bags and boards. I have learned that if it is something that is not that huge of a deal to let it lie so that things are not screwed up in the processing of a request.
  2. Personally I always feel you are better off selling the unwanted book for the price you want and buying the desired book at the price you want to pay.
  3. I like CGC's registry and it does work well if you want to take the time to set it up. It's not located in the main area or the forum, it is located on the main header page. Here is a direct link: https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/comics/ Say you want to create your own Amazing Spider-man set to enter slabs you have from that title. Click "a" https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/comics/ Scroll down until you see, "Amazing Spider-man" Say you want to do a set of ASM 1-100 - You scroll down to ASM 1-100: https://comics.www.collectors-society.com/registry/comics/SetTypeDetail.aspx?SetTypeID=274 When you click on the title you will see everyone's sets. You will also see an option to, 'create a set' When you hit that button follow the prompts and enter the registry number into each field and it will take care of the rest.
  4. I have always been of the understanding that it was not that the book was undergraded during that time period but that the book had not been pressed. So for the most part, books that I have picked up in older labels have demonstrated a bump after a press. X-Men 1: 4.5 to a 5.5 Old school PGX Hulk 181 6.5 to a 9.0 Fantastic Four 48: 6.0 to a 5.5 (Can't win them all) ASM 2: 3.0 to a 5.0 and a few others...
  5. I just went hunting for spoilers and it appears that this is going to be one of those movies that I need to (still) watch the first one but will watch it when it appears on cable or a “non authorized” stream. I’ve never really been a huge fan of Venom and thought that Carnage was a bit eye rolling. But if they have as big of a plans for Tom Hardy and others… then sure… I’ll watch to keep up with it all.
  6. That would make sense then. If Gordon is narrating a Batman story then that voice fits well reminiscent of #300 and serves the noir narrative. If not...
  7. The rat knocked into the device in the van allowing Ant Man to escape who said they should utilize time travel to go back and steal the stones.
  8. The other day in Brooklyn, around noon, the winds picked up a mound of trash and spun it around like a whirlwind. Someone who was walking their dog yelped as loudly as their dog. I saw movement and people started yelling out that there were rats. Because of the dining rules there are too many people walking around eating their lunch and then dropping the wrappings, plates and remnants on the sidewalk. Williamsburg and many parts of the city have traveled back in time to the 1970’s. No one is looking up. Everyone is looking at the ground and around them for rats and hoping not to get pushed off a subway platform as the train comes.
  9. I am also very interested in this. One of the comic series I thoroughly enjoyed years ago was Batman Black and White. I do believe that you can have many tales of Batman that do not have to fit into a proper movie continuity. I had one thought though and I could not place my finger on it until I just sat down to watch the latest episode of "What If?" I do not think that Jeffery Wright was miscast as Commissioner Gordon. What I do believe is if he is going to speak in the movie the way his voice overs for the trailers are indicating is that he was misdirected. Wright has a very unique voice and it serves him very well when he wants to use the "God" side of his voice such as The Watcher in What If. Wright also has a more 'civilian' voice that he has used in films like Syriana and the Bond among others. If he is using the "God" voice in The Batman, I wonder how that will affect the tone in his scenes and exactly what they are going for here. It looks like a crime noir film but there are other segments that don't seem to fit. I actually want this film to succeed so there are more standalone Batman movies with a variety of actors. Thoughts? Or am I losing my mind from the constant barrage of trying to post between 500 errors. I am learning to copy and past my response to a thread each time before I submit in case I have to write it again.
  10. She (and my dad) do their own pricing. I just handle the sales for her and close deals.
  11. I bought 11 Ultimate Fallout 4’s for $1 each. As Greggy says, “suck it”
  12. Mine might be about a 9.6 9.4 on the day someone is served divorce papers. 9.8 on Cracksday Considering it cost $20 or $30 at the time… I’m Happy
  13. It's funny you mention this. Another board member asked my thoughts on sending things to CGC or someone else given the current encapsulation room mishaps. I said the same thing. If you are going to sell it then CGC only. If you are not going to sell it then why spend the money to get it graded or have it take up space? I think the exception to that is when you have a book that is too valuable NOT to have graded but the value that you determine that is of a personal gauge. If I had a Batman 1 laying around I don't know if I would feel comfortable leaving it raw. In fact that is something that I think I would want a proper check and assessment on before something like an UF4 or a BB1 @Wolverinex. This is why I have not sent my BB1 down to be graded right now. I have no interest in selling it in the immediate future.
  14. I thought this guy was given the perma-boot ?
  15. Moving forward there is going to be a pop up promo in the title. Example featured sale: Blank was $30... now $20... Be on the lookout... like I said, as things move... more will be posted.
