2 great FFs up for grabs in the fs section
-
Picked up a nice run of FF 1-100. #1 is GRR and 2 has a repro cover other than that they are all there in various grades. After I catch my breath from Boston Comic Con a thread will be coming. Keep your eyes peeled
-
I was just checking out GPA. A 9.2 FF 45 went for $5800? What do the board detectives think is this a real sale or schilleriffic?
-
They already filmed the sequel. In fact I think they filmed it at the same time
-
I just read this and had no idea. But here's the reason why a seemingly unlikely cameo occurred:
Garrett Morris on any screen:
I know of the SNL skit in fact I posted a few years ago on the boards, but when I saw Garett Morris did not make the connection at all. I doubt very few people if any made the connection. Brilliant

Just got back I thought it would be kinda lame. But the wife and I thought it was great. Good story line funny but not over the top. Marvel keeps churning out good stuff. Loved the end story talking about all the charactors

Anyone who has a 8250 (or similar) recommend a go to setting for contrast, brightness, and resolution?
Been playing with it for a bit and I don't think I'm on the right track in comparison to the high quality scans I've seen posted. This is definitely not my wheelhouse.
I use VueScan and have some saved profiles that I use for slabs. If you want I can check out what they are, but I think you can play with them a bit and probably get a better idea.
Care to share your vue scan settings? I can gets a pretty accurate scan of slabs. But when I use maual settings for raw books scans vary from book to book. Same question goes to anyone using vue scan.

Since the early rumor for him was Brother Voodoo, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say ST 169's prices will crash.
Curious, if an A-list white actor is cast in the role of a black comic hero or villain, everyone will be ok with that? Right?
I'm going to have to disagree with you here. They have a Brother Voodoo action figure unless somehow the cross Baron Mordo with the Brother Voodoo. I'd say Brother Voodoo shows up 1 way or another
-
You don't say Brother Voodoo action figure

Well on the other hand I think Tilda is more manly, then some men so it may work out
-
Went to see it again tonight with the wife in 3D the only problem is it got moved from the super sized screen to a smaller screen and the weaker surround sound.Still loved it
Only movie I have seen twice in a theater/ that right there should tell you something about this movie
-
I actually like the Thing treatment, seems more like the comics to me at least how he moves in the trailer. Besides that I like nothing else about this movie. I'll wait till it comes out on Cable but even then I doubt I will watch it

One of the most visually beautiful films I've ever seen [especially one making liberal use of CGI] -- turquoise & gold meditations, punctuated with chalky whites & sanguinary reds. There's Salvador Dali here; there's thunderous teutonic opera; there's Ed Roth's art like never before; & there's Simone de Bouvier. The repeated color-exploding close-ups of the villain's eyes over his wheel are formidable images that are sure to last.
I have a hearing disability & have always struggled with heavy accents. I understood about 40% of the film's dialog. Fortunately, there wasn't much.
WOW that is a sig worth review. I have hearing loss too but it did not matter the dialog was a distant second to the visual and the sound effects. Right form the beginning of the movie with the car starting up and the bass of the exhaust the perma grin stated and never stopped for the entire movie

Whats up chip if you have not seen the movie yet, Put it on your list amazing
-
I have seen every action movie known to MAN. MAD MAX in a stadium style theater with the mega surround sound, is the absolute KING of them all.
-
I understand Westchester is one word and I know its an upscale burb of the City. I swear though they changed location from early issues like 1 to 10 or such. I was wondering if anyone can back up the change of venue, or did I just misremember ( and yes that is not a word either )
-
I thought originally the X men Xavier Institute was a boarding school in MA. But Wiki says it was West Chester, NY. anyone have more info on this?
-
Bought 20 East of West #1s from Brian grade is spot on for a good price would do business again.

Greg

Nothing to add but I love the Spidey theme song. Used to watch the reruns on Channel 11 out of NY in the 70s after school.
Now I find myself singing the song but I always make up different lines as I can't remember what he does after "anything a spider can walks on walls. My wife likes to say "walks on Walls" "plays with dolls"
Back to your rambling argument
-
BOO all I can say is FF as in Fn' Forget it. I love me some FF but not this miscast garbage

I have a question for guys using an HP Scanner with vue scan. How do you get the scans to be grouped into files from the scanner. Before vue scan the scans showed up in my pictures grouped by dates. Now with vue scan they just show up in my pictures file 1 by 1.
I have a ton of scanning to do and would like neater files any ideas on the settings?
