Half the players don't seem motivated to play for the team, and Sherwood lacks tactical nous. Several need to leave also. Back for the fiftieth time to square one.

It's back to the days of Ramos. You can throw whatever money you have at the problem, but it doesn't build a team. I knew Spurs wouldn't make the effort today either, as fifth place is all but gone anyway.

On current form it would seem that way. Not looking forward to watching Spurs get beat at Anfield tomorrow...

villa seem to score first then capitulate. Certainly over the last few games. The Mata goal was just the Villa defenders tripping over themselves. Meanwhile Palace beat Chelsea (never would've predicted that result).

It wasn't that Man U were good, it was just Villa being mediocre.

Going to watch the Man C / Arsenal match later this afternoon...should be good for a giggle.

Have you seen the TV version that had a different beginning with Cleon talking to the whole gang? I haven't, but I suspect that it is on the Ultimate DVD (the DVD I got from Amazon was the regular, no-extras one for a few quid, but I may still shell out for the other one). Wasn't sure about getting the Ultimate DVD version as there are those unnecessary comic inserts in the film that were added by Walter Hill, but on the other hand, there are all the featurettes. I didn't like the comic inserts either. The interviews are worth watching. Most odd looking at some of the actors now. The interviews and backstory are certainly compulsory viewing. 1979 was the year of the youth subculture movie...we had Scum and Quadrophenia, the U.S. had The Warriors and The Wanderers...

The Speed Carter Spaceman 6 is a tough book to track down.

Watched The Warriors on DVD last night. Still plays very well and looks great. Wouldn't've minded if the film had been a bit longer, in fact.

Thor must be in the vicinity. Does that mean Natalie Portman's close? I don't see why not.
