  1. Currently reading a few books in the Bryant And May detective series by Christopher Fowler. A genuinely good writer, and prolific with it. Captures the atmosphere of bygone London like nobody else. Recommended.
  2. The singing hairdresser. Already in his thirties when punk happened.
  3. One of the best covers of the run...looks in nice shape too.
  4. I would put Elvis at number one, Sinatra at number two, in terms of pre-eminence (not in terms of music as such, just iconic importance).
  5. I would have responded sooner to this but I fell out of my chair after losing consciousness. Sinatra.... Michael was great... but they all hold Sinatra to be the standard to which they aspire to be. BTW... you should feel bad for Bon Jovi. No matter what they ever achieve they will only be able to say that they are the third best musical act from New Jersey. Piffle. From New Jersey 1 - Sinatra 2 - Springsteen 3 - Bon Jovi That's not the piffle I meant. To put Sinatra, great as he was, above other musical acts of the 20th century is piffle. On a secondary note - Bon Jovi are a terrible, terrible band. They're somewhat worse than that.
  6. Bidders looked out for each other back when ebay was smaller and much more transparent. I also remember getting contacted by Bronzebruce about a scam long before I joined the boards. Happy days...
  7. Hubba. Hubba. Needs a Rich Tea biscuit or two... However, the question on everyone's lips.... To DUNK or NOT TO DUNK I've definitely got da dunk.
  8. Great pictures. I'm impressed about how many of your subjects were happy to pose for the camera, or didn't mind having their picture taken. You learn more from pictures like these than from ones taken of the key streets of the city.
