  1. Marvel Masterworks Hardcover Price List I finally finished one round of entering data in the price list. Here are some notes on how I came up with the values: Prices came from sold prices on eBay over the last 6 months or so. I rounded to the nearest $5 The price shown is the highest sold value Prices do not include shipping (unless it was some crazy amount $20+, then I added $10) General Notes: I didn't spend too much time on the Volumes #1-#7. Mostly because they have a huge number of printings and I need to do more research on how to tell them apart from a front/back picture. The popular first volumes of the Re-Masterworks Black # on Silver (i.e. X-Men vol 1, FF vol 1, etc) have multiple printings. There is a line item for a few of the 2nd prints, but many more need research to add them in. I added cover prices to the descriptions for the ones I could find. Generally, the "Limited" editions sold for higher values than the re-masterworks (but not always) For the recently published Masterworks, there was a huge difference in factory shrink-wrapped vs. no wrap For older books, the difference between shrink-wrapped and not shrink-wrapped leveled out, but was still around 10-25% higher Prices on the Golden Age Masterworks was pretty low compared to Silver/Bronze Buy-It-Now did way better than the auction format The highest sale price I saw was $600 for a no shrink wrap Limited Gold Foil Daredevil Vol 2 (#29) @F For Fake
  2. Speaking of avatars, is that the first appearance of your avatar in the bottom right corner?
  3. Weird that they re-did everything except the text at the bottom. You can tell by the "w"
  4. Happy New Year FF fans!!! Should we do another countdown? I (shame) don't have a #1, so someone else is going to have to kick it off on the 1st.
  5. This is just an amazing book. It has 3 different kinds of paper: covers, interiors, and extras - all high quality. Including the ads and letters pages just increases the awesomeness. The only negative is that I need a new larger bookcase to hold this monster. Buy it if you can.
  6. Glad you liked it! I was tempted to keep the Crypt Keeper myself. Merry Christmas!
  7. Got this awesome stack of books from @WEBHEAD !!!! A lot of these take me back to right when I started collecting. Thank you so much! P.S. Everyone loved your wrapping paper.
  8. Holiday trivia: Without looking, how many people/creatures are on the cover of FF #1?
  9. I'd say 120, 124, 128 all tie for the toughest regular books in 9.8. Close second are 116, 117. Honorable mention for 112. If you include oddballs, the 110 green error and the 30/35 cent variants are the toughest by far.
  10. Don't worry, those old cases crack easily. If I was you, I would clean/press it. Based on the pics, my guess is 60% chance stays 9.4, 35% chance 9.6, 5% some other grade. That would be worth the chance.
  11. My job for a good portion of the 1990s involved driving to different job sites. I spent 50-70% of my time in comic book stores all over the Bay Area.
  12. Mine showed up last week (in good shape) - ordered from Taschen. I'm going to wait until Christmas to open it.
