  4. The prices for the 2nd and 3rd prints have been getting pretty intense and if you check out my website here, you will notice that TMNT books are always in the top 30. Always. It's a very competitive comic these days. It is the undisputed CA key. So when a CGC copy comes up for sale it doesn't surprise me when there is some high prices. I suspect those prices will continue to climb for the next few years.
  5. The most recent CGC 5.5 was $1080. In 2012 there were two that sold for $1400 $1025 Nothing has sold in CGC 5.0 since 2010 and that price was $586.
  6. What's super crazy is way back in 2006 one of the board members offered to get his collection of NTT #44 submitted to CGC and would sell you a 9.8 or 9.6 at slightly higher than cost of the service. I think the 9.8 was $75 and the 9.6 was $45 or something like that. So I failed and got the CGC 9.6 copy.

  8. I just saw it now over at Lyria Exchange. Didn't know this had been a long term thing. Carry on, nothing to see here.
  9. It's because it's "Gem WOW!" It could be the issue that 2 different people have been looking for forever to complete their run ? Negative. I looked at the Ebay past sales and found multiple copies all getting $20+. This is obviously something... Not sure why though. I sold a copy of Deadpool #11 for something like $35 + shipping a little while back. It's just one of the books from that run that people want to own. Ah. Well that makes some sense. Sort of like how Amazing Spider-Man 601,607 & 608 are the bee's knees for some.
  10. NM 98 sells because of the imminent movie and Deadpool's appearance in the first Wolverine movie. A character's other media appearance can be attributed to many of the copper age rises in the past few years. Until you hear about that movie featuring Nightwing, the supply of Tales of the Teen Titans 44, which is large, will keep the prices tamed. I would argue but I don't know what that gets us. We will have to wait and see what the market decides. For now we do know that the market has deemed this book worthy enough to cause prices to spike. For how long I don't know and will NM supplies rush in to meet a growing demand.. again - unknown.

  12. Deadpool #11 NM- even and it's already $18+? And I seen past sells as $20? WTH?
  13. Also, to play devil's advocate, what does it matter how many mint issues are out there? That hasn't stop New Mutants #98 from being a solid $100+ book has it? It hasn't stop Hulk #181 from being a $2000+ book has it? I find your logic strange if you think the market will cease to purchase this book simple because there are too many mint copies available.
  14. What seems hot right now is Forever Evil #1 3D Motion Variants. Lyria has found 24 issues in a listing of 100 in the Modern Age sorting by 'comics heating up'
  15. Oh, stop this, please. As much as I love Jack Kirby and the Panther, this is one of the most irrelevant #1 issues as far as the Panther goes. The initial storyline is weak, and things get good when Jack starts the Vibranium storyline, involving the Wakanda royal family – it makes no sense for this issue to go up in value… just because it‘s a #1. The market would seem to disagree with you The market is like a run away train. I just report on what I see.
  16. Avengers Annual #10 @ $17 & 18 bids. Dr. Strange #1 @ $61 & 22 bids. Black Panther #1 @ $23 & 27 bids.
  17. I think I owned that book at one time. Gorgeous cover with just bleeding colors.
