  6. It will be a few years. Before all the madness of speculating it took at least 12 issues for the book to get heat and another year before it reached it's full potential.

  8. That was one of the things discussed in the April data thread. Why everybody assumes that just because a title is monthly means that it will rise over time? Data shows that only less than 10% of the titles being released actually see increase in print run over time. Most will see decline. Currently, I will say Todd is stable but its fourth issue is still a 10% drop off its first issue. Hard to say if this will increase over time (bearing no tv or movie news) considering how much speculation there has been in the last 6 months, a 10% drop only is pretty much #winning. #1s always sell much more, even more so in speculator driven eras. A stable print run is a rare thing, and speaks to the quality of the material. Not a real fan of the series but even I have to admit that this speaks highly of the title.
  9. So let me get this straight, he: -Head butts like Hulk -Shoots eye beams like Cyclops -Tackles like Magneto -Bench presses like the Punisher and Captain America -Can take a punch to the gut like Wolverine and Daredevil -Can wear a belt and arm bands with style like ?Spider-Man 2099? -Can high-five like Spiderman -Has the sexual prowess of ?Mr.Fantastic? -Can squat like the Punisher (again?) -Can burn through things with the Human Torches knees -Has the bullet proof shins of The Silver Surfer -And, can dance like ?the bootless High Evolutionary? He was pretty cool though, regardless. That's funny.
  10. No worries accessndx. Haters are going to hate no matter how many times you apologize. But I appreciate it regardless.
  11. X-men 101 is already hard/expensive to find in high grade ...14 too ... Heads up! X-Men #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #1 are both books that might perform well in the future. Now back to your regular modern age thread. hehe, I tease, I tease.
  12. (thumbs u +100 After you read it sell it for cover to someone else and repeat the process 100 times.
  13. Maybe the variants. It has been all over the place really. The last regular cover sold for $11.00 shipped, so $1.10 eBay fee, $0.70? Paypal fee, and $2.25? shipped through Paypal. You're making $3.00 if you didn't preorder them and that's not counting tax in certain states, bag/board and shipping material. So probably $2.50 profit. I mean that's still 50% profit, but I don't think it is moving as quickly as other titles you can get 50% profit from. There are regular covers on eBay now for $7.55 and then $9.00. (This is all in the US) And yet when we talk about Bedlam we our pants when we see a price tag of $9? Anything above cover is win in my book and I'm just happy to know the book is getting a very small amount of interest out there. Now maybe people will read it.
  14. It's a good cover with all that has transpired up to this point in the story. (thumbs u
  15. +1 I agree. For those of us posting on this board 10 years ago, it was a great time and I hope to see a repeat with Copper Age because in my opinion its a much more diverse and interesting age.
  16. Holy Moly! Most Watched Modern Age Comics right now? No, not Walking Dead, Isn't not Sixth Gun or Helheim. Sure isn't Injustice or Saga. Can't be Polarity (although it should be )... It's NYX #3 an oldie but goodie @ 41 watchers & 19 bids + $46 price tag. Must be something about the rumors regarding Wolverine's replacement?
  17. This sale was interesting: Superman #233 CGC 9.0 - $177+ & 21 bids. I was thinking this book would be hot for years but it never happened. Than suddenly this auction makes me go
  18. Okay, I'm bias for this one because I own a copy but I thought with the latest news that X-23 is taking Logan's place on the team that this auction has interesting results thus far: NYX #3 CGC 9.8 @ $122+ & 8 bids + 29 watchers.
  19. I might need to find some of mine! This book has been hot for a while...first thanos cover, starlin, etc, etc, What's "for a while" mean? Back in 2007 I was buying up Captain Marvel's #25-33 for $10 to $15 in NM conditions all day long. I actually.. get this.. had a chance to be choosy on which books I was going to keep and which ones I was going to resale I found so many of them at decent affordable prices. So maybe you mean the last three years? No, since the Avengers movie first previewed. And around the same time people were like "Hey, let's buy Iron Man 55, first Thanos! You guys know when the first cover appearance is?", etc, etc, IM 55 is one of my favorite comics, I was buying them at reasonable prices. Then Thanos Quest and Infinity Gauntlet hit and the price rose, so the most I paid for an issue then was $100. Which I thought was crazy. I have a few of the Capt Marvel's 25-33. Matter of fact I bought 2 more CM 33's at C2E2. Same as vader, Not to be in the in-crowd before the in-crowd was cool but I actively sought out an IM #55 CGC 9.4 and passed on it because the forum members thought page quality on the IM #55 CGC 9.2 was far superior. And they were right! So I bought that IM #55 CGC 9.2 for $195 and chased after all the CM #25-34 for set reasons. (thumbs u Ah to be cool before the cool kids. I seem to remember you talking about this over at Lyria.... In fact it was over at your site WHett that I first learned about the Thanos rumors and the importance of jumping on the IM55 bandwagon early! Best advice I ever got! (thumbs u Picked up my fine for like 45 bucks..... The best?
  20. And some CGC books that are doing rather well: Spider-Man #1 CGC 9.6 Platinum Variant @ $222+ & 24 bids. Cry For Dawn #5 CGC 9.8 @ $85 & 10 bids. Amazing Spider-Man #252 CGC 9.4 @ $54 & 9 bids.
  21. Cry for Dawn #1 @ $125 & 2 bids. Miracle Man #24 @ $30 & 1 bid.
