I'm not sure I quite follow all of your points here but I'll take the bet that there are closer to 2000 copies in existence than there are 300. The vast majority of collectors have no interest in slabs.

Very strong price for a raw, especially how easy it is to miss color touch on these. Not sure I would necessarily consider this book as "ultra rare," however, when many GA books have maybe a few dozen copies in existence, though I suppose everything is relative.

Maybe. Or it was a shill bid scenario. A 7.0 evidently sold for $9600, and a board member recently said that he sold his 5.0 for over five figures, so it's hard to guess where a 6.5 copy like this would land.

I don't know where that 7.0 sold but if $9600 is the new baseline for that grade, maybe this book is already on the back slide.

The seller relisted, and then immediately pulled, the same book this morning for $11,500 so there MAY* be shenanigans going on. *Note that this is not a declaration of fact but merely my perception, for pedantry purposes

Looks like that 6.5 with the Frank Miller sig sold for just over $10k. That gambit didn't pay off for the seller. I personally have no interest in that particular copy.

One of the LCS owners around here uses eBay as his guide when pricing his inventory, and uses Overstreet when purchasing.

Let's just say that, as a buyer I love using Overstreet and as a seller I run.

The ten comics pictured below, all for $25 shipped in the US. The two Christmas Parade books might be worth that on their own. The Batman Hidden treasures book is a reader but it's an awesome read, with all Wrightson art.
