This is the wraparound cover to Bill Willingham's FAIREST, coming soon from Vertigo/DC Comics.

It's the new new FABLES spinoff book, and I'm the regular cover artist.

I've been a FABLES fan for a while now, and am really excited to be a contributor now!

This one was WORK, I mus say, and not for the reasons you might think...

When I do regular covers for a book, it usually takes me 5-7 covers before

I figure out how I like to portray the main character.

On THIS cover, I had to commit to how I would portray, what, 13 characters? 'Ugh!' and "Oh, no!'

I'm not going to name all the characters portrayed here,

because sharp-eyed FABLES fans seem to be having too much fun trying to guess all of them!

Description: Hippie smoke marijuana at a dance party on this wacky cover and the Comics Code censors did not notice it. Check the girl with the marijuana pipe at the bottom of page 23. They missed this, too.

Grade: VG

Charlton Drug Book hit the newsstands several months before the Spiderman No Comics Code Seal Drug issues #96, #97 and #98 as well as the GL/GA #85 and #86 Speedy Junkie issues.
