Liverpool off to a errr, slow start?
I'm pleased, cant stand liverpool or rodgers
-
Yes
My fault. There were only three in the league and I couldn't play as was blocked at work. Should have just left it be, but I deleted it.
I'm sure if you set up another league the others who were involved would be keen to join.
No worries mate, Ive set up another one if anyone fancies it... heres the link and the code to join the league:

Hey fellas,
I remember reading a few weeks ago about a CGC fantasy football league...I joined back then and checked my team today and it appears the league has disappeared?
Anyone know why?

A nice IPA for me please! The last few pages is making me want fish and chips so badly
-
little known fact, fish and chips goes well with curry sauce
Agreed, either that or mushy peas...yum!

I'm happy to set up a CGC boards league once I've created my team, then I'll send the code round. If there's a decent amount of interest, great - if not, we can try something else.
We can separately discuss whether or not people want to play for money.
Adam
I would be interested in joining a league mate

Thankfully I didnt buy anything from him...haven't been collecting long but I could tell his stuff was rather on the steep side, even though he had a quite a few nice books
-
Hmmmm silver acre hey, nice books but too many zero's
True, far too many for my budget anywa
-
silverlink eh
might go for the trip Saturday though i'm on holiday next month so i couldn't buy anything of worth
haha found their card, its Silver Acre...they had some really nice stuff.
Worth a trip out, even if just for a look. However I can never just go for a 'look' without buying something

Enjoyed my first time at golden orbit today, so many comic books that it was abit much to take it at first and ended up walking around like a kid in a candy store!
I ended up getting:
Batman 163
Sub Mariner 3
Tales to Astonish 100
Overall a good day!
were all the books sold raw?
Yes my three books were all raw and it seemed to be that a lot of the stuff there was raw. However a few dealers had slabbed books but they were out of my price range! I think there were about 12 dealer tables...
slabbed eh?
One of the dealers (can't remember the name, something like silverlink comics) had some cracking books...spent about 10 minutes looking at them and wishing I had a spare few grand!

Yeah, colors do look a little off but at least the scans are crystal clear. Just play around with the color a little and hopefully you can get them right. I have the opposite problem. My colors come out pretty good but no matter how much I play with it, I just can't get my scans anywhere near as clear as yours there. I've messed with it for hours and hours and hours and for the life of me, I just can't get them anywhere near as clear as how yours came out
I have a couple more books coming in soon, so will have a play with the colors then. I think mine being crystal clear was more down to luck than good management
